I seriously can not wait for the DX220Max any longer =/

I know how great both the Dx220 and the Amp8 can be, now with the analog volume controls to max out the dynamic on the ES9028Pro even at the lowest volume = insane . Not to mention the ability to take in directly External PSU to operate, individual battery packs! Woooooo

It is now demonstrated, with listening cessions, in Japan at the Fujiya-Avic Headphone Festival on MUSIN's booth. So... let's wait for the first reports and specs....

but... do you really think that, sound wise, it can beat A&K SP2000 ???

My Laptop, including power adapter, cable etc, @ 5 kgs. also transportable. & it's in my back Every working day. That Lovely Max is portable easy compared to my EDC...

I went to the Fujiya Avic show yesterday and did try the DX220 max.

there was a reserved ticket system and everyone got about 8 minutes.

I was unfamiliar with the jpop and kpop on the Micro SD Card. There was Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga (which is not my usual listening) but none of the usual show tracks with which i could A/B with the DX220.

so my results are not detailed.

i did enjoy the unit. Of course the size and weight is more than the DX220 etc

Seems to have a speedy ui, no hiss i could tell. Music was reproduced well, although it is still being tuned.
- keep in mind, short time and at a show. Nothing i can comfortably say in detail.

Apple charges a premium for upgrading to those versions, do you want Ibasso to do the same? It’s already said to be 2k in price. Much cheaper for us to buy SD cards for more storage.

yes they charge more for "high capacity" versions, but... you are not obliged to choose the "high capacity" version... you at least have the choice. And only ONE microSD Slot is not much !
