I used Andromeda on the DX160, was fine.
There is some objective measurements from HifiGo which has a good results also if you care about the paper data.

Not for me but I use Lurker firmware
Do you imply that Lurker firmware improves/resolves WIFI dropouts, or did you never had problems with the original FW to start with.
I'm holding off until the 1st reviews of the ver 2020 arrive. I'm torn between FIIO M11 and DX160, coming from Fiio X5 II.

Lurker firmware was the first thing I installed after buying, like right away. As far as my usage goes, I haven't seen any wifi issue yet.

I have used DX160 for about 4 months. iBasso DX160 is already a very good DAP. It can drive my AUDEZE LCDi4 and STAX SR-003Mk2 very well.
If DX160 2020 has a better buffer, I will be glad to take part in the upgrade program. I don't know why the word "recall" comes out. Anyway at this time
there are no new DX160 2020s. I want to listen to new DX160. But after the threat of corona virus goes away. I'm happy I can enjoy my DX160 now.

I never use online streaming, and can't confirm, deny or even check. But the change listed as "During music playback, the device is managed to prevent idle state tasks" may improve Wi-Fi stability with the screen turned off.

Is anyone having WiFi dropouts with the latest version of firmware?

I used the DX160 for about a week before installing the Lurker add-on, and I can say that the, wifi dropout after screen off for a certain time, was there in the beginning and it was there after the install of the Lurker add-on. So far I have noticed it with the Tidal app, Google Play Music, and UAPP app. Keep in mind this issue is different than the issues concerning signal strength that some have had in the past. This is about the android system putting wifi to sleep after screen is off for a certain period of time. I have not timed it at this time, so I cannot say exactly how long, but it seems like 15 minutes to half hour.

There doesn't need to be any intervention on my part to get it working again, I just need to turn the screen back on (and wifi comes back on and connects), and hit play again.

Hey Detectit,

I also experience the same thing. Did you find another way rather than switching on/off USB audio? Not a huge problem but as it does require a reboot, I was wondering if there was any other more practical way :).

Thanks!
No as far as i know this is the only way. As you have maybe read. It's not an issue. But part of the Lurker mod.

Haven’t been on since I bought my 160. It’s nice. But through my Violectric amp. My laptop with dragonfly red sounds better. Is this what most would say?
No, the DX160 is seriously better.

Must be doing something wrong. Laptop dragonfly red Sen 800s sounds better

Doubt you're doing anything wrong. Different strokes in this hobby as different gear combos produce different results for different people. Worst case scenario you can sell it off or return it if you're still in the return window.
