I am using Balanced with mango player, because I have this superficial belief that the stock players have the best sound. I checked UAPP now and the bass seems clearer with it actually and imaging gets better also, with the cost of treble becoming harsher.

Weird thing with zx300 is that Balanced sound changes even if you toggle high gain on SE. I find the subbass to be clear and textured on BA only when high gain is off on SE.

Yes I think mango sounds the most dense and detailed. But I like the way neutron portrays the sound' more space and a bit warmer.

Is spdif out working for u guys?

It does, but you have to use the right cable. I'm using the one from DX220.

I wonder what colour DAP do the people with the wifi noise have? All of them Blue? :)

mine black

Have you tried a braided cable or a shielded one? What do you mean by "stripped pattern" on the screen?

My cable is braided (Effect Audio Origin), not helping. Stripped pattern i think it's mean there is dotted pattern on touch screen when we see under light.

This will be fixed.

We have worked out a solution to this. It will be available very soon.

And how about those wifi bug. Cannot find the problem for those bug ? or it's unfixable by software ? it's just really to bad if it's cannot be fix by software, need to get refund for my unit. Really like it's sound.

There is also an unusual high amount of attenuation with the eq is enabled as well. Will this also be rectified?
This is by design. The volume is decreased so that if the EQ is elevated it will not go into distortion, if the overall volume is high to begin with.

Thanks Paul, I agree but it drops the audio level substantially, more so than I have experienced with Ibasso and other DAP’s in the past.

I think I'll wait to make my purchase. I was going to buy the dx160 already, but this problem seems widespread and I worry a lot.

I am in the same boat! I was going to pre-order from the store near me but this has me a bit worried. Especially the lack of clarity and the specific cause.

I was debating between the DX160 and the Shanling M6.

At the moment it just seems too risky to take a gamble with the DX160.

I almost went and bought it 3 times,... but I keep coming back to this thread, and it stops me reaching for my car keys!

I think I'll just have to be patient. And wait for the M6 Intl release.

WiFi and processor noise only an issue (and a mild one at that) with very sensitive earphones. At least with my unit.

Problem solved by iematch in this case or by using normal sensitivity transducers.

I think we need to keep the problem (or better worded : limitation) in perspective.

just trying my DX160 with TWS. now i know, why there is much complain about Bluetooth. It's worst, i mean really worst. i put my dx160 on table, no more than half meter (i'm on laptop beside dx160), it's connection constantly disconnected and reconnect. So i cannot use it at all.

We are working with the BT chip manufacturer but most DX160s work fine, out to 20 to 30 feet, depending upon walls, people etc. We use Class 2 BT, which is rated at 33 feet but often doesn't get quite there. You could go and compare the one you have to another unit and see if you get better results.
I think they are working on it.
