Tupac,
I'm waiting on my JH16's to arrive, have a Chris himself cable on the way...do you think the DH100 is one of the better choices out there. I have the shure 535's now and just use my galaxy 3 at the moment. the ability to use MOG or spotify and the expandable memory is what has my interests. Thanks! I'm am so impatiently waiting for my 16's to get here.

Hi! I was just wondering that no one has compared the dx100 to the hdp-r10 sound wise yet?

I have read up that the opamp has been changed to opa627 and also the I/V conversion has been changed.

Any help would be nice.

Thanks, Siang

I haven't heard the HPD-10 but I have paired my DX100 with my UHA6 MKII with OP-Amp 627. I find the Amp section on the UHA6 MKII better than on the DX100 and overall a better value than spending an extra $300.00 for an Op-Amp. I'd say get the DX100 and UHA6 MKII if you want options. The Hdp looks like a big waste of money IMO. YMWV.

I am using Yuin G1s with the partsexpress headband mod to eliminate the clipons for better bass  & tighter fit with my DX100 ,this is my go to setup.

I've always had interest in the G1's, and hope to hear them someday.  I use the PK-1's on the go when I don't want any isolation...and they also sound great on the DX100.

Thanks Lee, but I don't like carrying around an amp and a dap together. I prefer one device and also the hdp-r10 in Japan is not that expensive ( ¥79500 about $ 1023) as I'm going to Japan in January. Also the fact that it can be charged with USB is really convenient.

True but my point is the unit is about $200 more opposed to the DX100. Now is it worth that extra $200.00? That's the question.

I'd agree. Personally I found it hard pressed to hear the difference between the HDP-R10 & my DX100. But it took so long to reindex my music (same microSD switched back & forth between the players) so possibly I didn't "remember" the SQ too well.

Let's just say that it wasn't "wow" enough to remember - and as such I didn't feel it was worth the price difference.

BTW, where is it sold for ¥80,000? Everywhere I see it's around ¥89,000.

Personally I'm waiting to see how the HM-901 sounds like instead.

Keep me posted on how that unit sounds. It if manages to crush the DX100 then I'll most likely opt for it. I doubt this will be the case though .

You're talking about the HM-901? I guess I won't get to hear it until it makes it to the shores of Japan. With the JP manufacturers I occasionally have an advantage of being able to preview products quickly either just before or immediate point of release. But with Chinese products I'd have to wait like everyone else. The lucky thing is that the shops in Tokyo are big enough to bring in everything new whereas it appears overseas, customers are not only at the mercy of manufacturer release dates, but also if their local retailer will bring in the product at all into their store.

When the DAP is available, I'll make a duplicate SD card so that I can compare the DAPs simultaneously without having to switch & reindex cards.

I've read a ton over the past few days and am looking to know if Spotify works with the DX100.  Of the threads I've read I'm not certain.   specifically, wondering if spotify can be downloaded, if so is that via google play?

and has anyone sycn'd offline music to the DX100?

I don't see anything on ibasso's website about being able to run android  'apps'.,

The 64gb micro sd card is $55.99 right now here. A very good price. Be sure and check the free shipping as it is 1st class mail and only take 2 to 3 days.

Has anyone sent their DX100 back to China from the US? How long did it take to arrive? It's been 15 days since I sent mine and still no word.
