The DX100 is plenty fast, it doesn't lag at all.  Sometimes the screen could use to be a little more accurate, it's not as flawless as an iOS device, but still very competent and it's easy to use.

I find that once booted up the DX100 responds very fast to any selection. As soon as I tap on something, it moves to that song or whatever I have indicated I want to migrate to.

Okay, an on topic post from me.... for a change.

Do any of you early adopters use the DX100 with LCD-2s and if you do, do you use an external amp? I'm weighing the future prospects of my Lyr.

I plan to just use LCD-2 (rev. 1) straight into DX100.

i plan the same  . with one backup plan to use lineout to my neco soundlab dual op amp if weight is not enough coming out from dx100 to lcd2-2 .

hope that i do not need to go that route to keep my portable rig as simple and direct as possible .
any first batch dx100 have lcd2 with dx100?  please share your experiences .
thanks

Yes, they work great with it. Plenty of power and a nice transparency to the sound and a large soundstage. Lots of fun!

Since the built in amp of the DX100 sounds even nicer than my previous top portable amp, the ibasso Pelican with topkit, I'm quite confident that few external amps if any will improve its sound.  So far we've had people test the DX100 with just about every can, all the way up through the HE-6 that it was even able to handle.  The DX100 has way more power than people give it credit for...

Even more fun with the LCD-3!

Edit:  I'm getting DX100 withdrawals.  It can't reach China quickly enough...

13th March, still no mail from iBasso :frowning2:.

My order was 11th Feb with iBasso confirming deposit 2 days later.

Don't worry, I'm not hounding them with e-mails.

Good boy, let them concentrate on preparing the shipments for us, because we are good and well behaved and deserve the DX100
