I have a question for you guys.
Can you browse folders in alphabetical order on DX100?
I'm planning to use all 192GB of music files with DX100 but if the unit doesn't support folder browsing option, it's going to be painful to tag all of the music files one by one.

Is iBasso a Japanese brand?

iBasso is a China based company.

Folder browsing via directory view is indeed alphabetical and works well.

Nope, reads them just fine (but they need to be formatted in FAT32, not exfat) - it also reads a 128 gb sd card (FAT32), connected through a SD-to-microSD adapter, so I would expect that it reads a 128 microsd card just as well...

AFAIK, the HDP-R10 is a newer Japanese release of the DX100 with a higher capacity battery and updated software. It's also $200 cheaper. I don't see any reason to prefer a DX100, so I ordered the HDP-R10.

but I think u don't have access to the palystore like in the DX100

also what concerned me is the updates for HDP-10R stopped while there are still new updates for the DX100

Best is to buy a couple of extra 12V chargers at the time of purchase with the DX100.

Information on the HDP-R10 can be found in Japanese on the joint venture with iBasso's partner, Hibino Intersound, on their website.

Very true. I have a smartphone and don't intend to use Android apps, so I don't need access to the Play Store. The lack of a software update is a risk that I'll take for $200 discount. The main reason why I buy this player is to get the best possible music at work. If it appears to be too buggy to use, I'll try to update it with a DX100 update. If that's not possible, I'll sell it. If there aren't any updates for the R10 while the DX100 updates keep coming, I assume that the R10 update is stable. If it was too broke, they would probably release another update.

keep me updated as i am curious how u will find its sound quality, I am after hunting for a warm DAP with nice bass impact, not that annoying mids and treble
