I won a pair of Grado SR60's on eBay, but got SR125's in the mail. Good deal?

And these are brand new! I paid 61$, and now I'm considering selling them on eBay for their retail, or maybe 125$. Should I, so I can get what I paid for and a wad of extra cash? Or should I keep them and be the headphone king of Northwest Oregon?

Also, does the sound of the SR-125's get significantly better after burn in? Right now, my Sennheiser HD 477's have deeper more impactful bass, and I need to know if SR125's can cruch those on a receiver.

I don't know, could you really handle being the "headphone king of Northwest Oregon" ?

And that's a great Mark Twain quote you have. If I sell them after burn in, I'll go for 125$.

Yes, I believe I could. I'm the only person I know who actually puts 50$ into them, yet in this case, I get 150$ out of them.

Hey dude, that is a rokken smiley face. Thought you might like to know.

Wait a second...Sisters isn't in Northwest Oregon. I'm from Bend, a town in Central Oregon, and very near to Sisters, and let me just say that Central Oregon is surprisingly not in the Northwest of the state.

I can't afford an amp and I need something slightly more portable, I might sell my new SR-125's and get SR-60's, that is if they sound similar. By the way, I live in Salem, Oregon, Bond. I want a powered subwoofer, so what I may do is sell the 125's and my current passive sub and go for some SR-60's and a Powered sub unit. then I could be rokken~like Dokken.... just kidding, Like AC/DC!! Then I'd be ROCKING, but if it were TOOL, it would be redundant, yet satisfying...

I dunno... I'll let 'em break in for a coupla days. In the meantime, I'll clean my Sennheiser HD477's they replace for auction. And to Bond, James Bloody Bond, yes, I did update my profile just now, and it was about damn time. By the "whey", what is a Meta 42?

Minor to some is a fortune to others. I dropped a few hundred on my 600's + MG Head, but my roomate has trouble buying meals every week.

A Meta42 is a headphone amplifier designed by 'senior members' of head-fi with great electrical engineering experience. There are several head-fi members who will build them on commission or you can build them yourself as a kit.

its all relative. If he can afford $61 for what he was thinking was the SR-80, then why not just keep the 'free' upgrade that is the SR-125?
