I just got Boards of Canada - The Campfire Headphase from the library. Still listening, but so far I don't like too much to be honest...

Neither is Radiohead, really... but get Kid A if you dont' have it. It's my fav album of all time.

Yeah I did get Kid A... I didn't really like it much though.

Soma's stations play mostly ambient, so that's what I would expect. Most people expect something a little more upbeat and moving when they talk about electronica...try the di.fm stations instead.

I'm going to suggest you not buy any more electronic music until you figure out what kind (if any) you like, via free means like the links posted and streams on the mentioned artists' pages, and the library etc. Maybe when/if you find another couple artists that you like we can help recommend more.

Thanks, although I can't take credit, I just saw it somewhere a long time ago.

Just having got this album, it may be considered post-rock, but I think it uses enough electronic elements to be mentioned here and it's really really good.

Tortoise - TNT

I'll also mention The Books while I'm at it. Re-listened to Lost And Safe yesterday and it's amazing.

The Knife-Silent Shout.....I know it has been mentioned earlier but it is a
must have!
Massive Attack....Everything is good but start with Mezzanine.
Amon Tobin-Permutations.....This was mentioned earlier and this is a
fantastic, dark very edgy cd.
M83....Epic!
Bjork!
Digitalism-Idealism....I've been listening to recently and it is growing on me.

This is probably the best CD I have ever heard!!!! It kinda reminds me of fruit juice that says it has an 'apple base'. TBU has an 'electronica' base, but with little 'flavours' in there as well. Theres some jazz, rock, house, classical... It's INSANE! I LOVE IT!!!!
