im in a similiar situation, right now im about to pull the trigger on the sr80, but im thinking about the ms-1 instead. What are the differences? For my type of music one with more bass would suit me better, is this the ms-1??

I think you should move up to a higher level Grado model. Since the SR60 and SR80 are basically identical.
To the SR225, SR325i or even an RS2 or RS1.

The SR60/80 sounds best with Senn 414 quarter-modded pads to me, and the bowls are best with 225's. But thats me.
