I know that usually you need information of what I listen too and what I plan to use them for, but as of right now I would truly appreciate if you could name a few things that you love/like and hate/dislike about the dt770's

Thanks!

isolation, bass, comfort

No me gusta.

I found them to have overwhelming, uncontrolled boomy bass, extremely recessed mids, and somewhat sparkly highs.

What I did like about them was comfort, soundstage (for a closed can), and build quality. They also isolate reasonably well too. If movies (and games) were my thing I'd guess they'd be a pretty good fit but for music I feel there are better cans.

^ yes, definitely

But in that price range, they do pretty well I think.

For me it was a nice beginning in the world of decent headphones

So I guess isolation and comfort is a given, considering how many are enjoying those parts.

I watch movies all the time, so that's a plus for me. And I just looove my bass!

Would you guys say that these are portable to any limit? Perhaps on the train to school and maybe usage during flights? Does the pads on these get hot on your ears?

Thanks for your replys!

EDIT: Obviously I meant DT770 and not DT779 :D

pads are fine, don't have problems with getting too hot

But I wouldn't use them as portables myself, too big.
