I love my SR80i's for almost everything. Everything except classical and anything electronica. They make classical sound very stuffed up, and just not very pleasant to listen to. Electronica is simply too poorly mastered, and the Grados can't pump out the bass needed. Grados sound absolutely incredible on rock/metal. Folk is entrancing. Jazz is mystical and magic. But classical is a no-go for me on Grados.

If you are not adverse to earphones, I would suggest taking a look at more or less anything by Etymotic.

Sennheiser is a great choice for classical. I don't recommend the MDR-V6, its really revealing of sound quality, barely any soundstage, and is not an open headphone. If you're willing to spend a little bit more money, try the HD558. If you wait, you can get the HD558 for the same price as the 518.

Quite decent headphones. The build quality seems cheap though, treat them well.

It's all plastic. Compared to other headphones with metal, yes it is a little more delicate.
