well if ytou've heard the hd600's, the 580s are quite similiar in sound. Except, if i were to describe the overall sound of a headphone in softness (say how many pillows i would compare to). I would say that listening to the 600s is like having 3 pillows while the 580s are more like having one. But these pillows are very comfy ones btw..

so yeah um if that made ANY sense at all

HI: I received the CD780s today. They are very smooth and very clear with a great sound stage. I sold my V6s and think that these are way better sounding over them. The 780s are so very comfortable to boot. Now to burn them in for 100 hours or so.

mine should be here later today. I can believe I was the first one to find this deal. All posters on this thread should be thanking me. I am the godfather of the 780 since I was the first one to find the 31 dollar deal.

LOL, thank you BrooklynRick. The CD780, indeed, is extremely comfortable, with O.K. sound quality. I used them most of last night on my computer(their intended use, for me:)) and it was like having two very soft, gentle pillows resting on my head as opposed to the annoyance of every other headphone I have used.

Thanks again. :)

LTUCCI1924, mind if I ask your initial impressions compared to the 590's?

BrooklynRick, a godfather doesn't beg!

Seriously though thanks once again for turning us on to this deal.

We Canadians don't get the $9.99 FedEx shipping special; I have to wait about 10 days for mine to arrive. Besides, if FedEX or UPS is used to go to Nova Scotia, I'd get nailed for broker's fees.......

Isn't Bordersfree supposed to take of all those expenses?

ahahahahahahaha

i just got mine, they are so big! i cant even imagine how big the CD3k must be. but omg, you guys werent kidding about these pads being like pillows. they are BETTER that my pillows. the sound is very open i guess thats achieved by the drivers being so far away from my ears.

my parents are gonna be like "What?

" when they see these on my mug. after about 3 mins of listening id say they have a much more balanced sound then the v6's but i wouldnt get rid of either, they both have thier purposes. but my 225's should be questioning thier job security. i might replace them with etys to round out my package, ill probably get an amp beforehand though the Bithead is looking tempting.

more impressions to come after more listening time.

$35 WELL SPENT
