Wow, talk about bringing back an old thread...

The CD780s are quite wonderful for the $31 many of us got them for last year and outperform many costing much more than that, but they do indeed still have their flaws. They were my main cans for a while (much better in the winter, as they do indeed warm up those ears) but I finally had to upgrade...

Really good phones for under $60 that's for sure, just payed around $40 for these. The room that I mainly use them in gets fairly hot even with the fan on at least in these summer months, so they do heat up the ears. The air doesn't circulate through this room like other areas in the house, hotter than normal in here that is for sure. Comfort is very important to me however. I agree they do have some flaws which can be noticed if you have tried out a variety of headphones for an extended period of time. For the money they make a nice backup/secondary set.
