Sorry zip, I do get carried away.

Different strokes for different folks. We are just as free to dislike Apple/iTunes as you are to like it.

The point that I was overzealous in illustrating is that the "it must be best because it is the most popular" argument does not wash.

Big Macs are popular. Does that make them the best or most nutritions burger?

Or, for a more accurate and closer to home analogy, I give you one word: Bose.

no one said it was, or that the ipod/itunes system is the best. just that for many people, it hits the spot. sure they may find a burger that is a bit cheaper, or healthier, or tastier, but they are content.

in addition, the ipod can attract connoisseurs with features like gapless, lossless, an 80GB capacity, and (thanks in large part to its popularity) rockbox.
