Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

Just had a look at the ifi elite. £300 from future shop. Might take the plunge.!. What output and size of barrel connector would be compatible with the TT2 ? if I may trouble you......Thank You...
See thats also the problem with Chord TT2...They used the DC2.5mm from 2. world war times, when everything is 2.1mm

However the iFi Elite does include an adapter for it. The black "C" one and NOT, I repeat NOT the WHITE which has inverted poles(center minus)

I soldered DC 2.1mm connector from audiophonics(with mundorf 10%). I have an ocd with adapters....Just pick one that does easy to solder its better either way imo.

With adapter it still does sound great, better, controlled bass responds. Elite does need a month burnin imo. I have three(5V/12V/15V) and they just keep getting better and better.

(The next step for me is to earth all bnc/rca outputs to walloutlet with custom cables)

But if you are in the UK I think you should pick this one without even trying it. Its really good price

https://stackaudio.co.uk/product/volt-15v-4a-for-tt-m-scaler/

@piguetpolo might have some inputs on this :)
____
Im also going to buy the STACK in the future, as soon as I have funds.

EDIT: Hmm they are soldout right now, I just checked.

___

Are more expensive solution I might go for is this as I also use the JCAT card. It can power both independently afaik.

@OCC7N, the Stack Audio Volts are handmade and produced on demand, thus never stocked, so can't be technically be "sold out". It'll take a couple of weeks to receive.

It took a bit longer to make the 2 I ordered but Theo (Stack) was communicative and accommodating.

Anyone know if the TT2 is double insulated?
Since nobody answers..

Double isolation is only used for an apparatus with direct mains voltage input. Then its electronics has no connection to chassis and it likely has no earth to the mains plug.

TT2 runs on low voltage and has its PCB ground bound to its chassis. Earthing the chassis can cause groundloops with other electronically (RCA/BNC/USB) connected gear. Bringing noise in.

Could be absolutely anything, Chord has no cadence one can use to guesstimate updates.
Probably the new MScaler, but the tweet mentions two products, so what else? I think Hugo 2 will probably be next to be refreshed, before the TT, but I'm up for either - as long as they include the DSP EQ that was introduced with the Mojo 2! Maybe a DAVE upgrade, finally?

(EDIT) There's another thread for speculation: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/cho...ve-2-why-is-no-one-talking-about-this.968152/

Hasn't there been open talk about an M-Scaler for the Ultima line for the last few months?

In any case, given the price increases over the past 24 months for the TT2, I expect any TT3 to be near 8 or even 10k. I'm happy that my TT2 is working flawlessly and hope to keep it for the next 20 years at least.

No, the Rob Watts interview a few weeks ago mentions the DAVE MScaler later this year, and I think the Ultima dac probably next year, but nothing else. The John Franks interview mentioned some modular concept called Suzi, but no clues what it meant. We are seeing 'intentional leaks' to build up expectations for next week.
