I meant to ask this last night.

On Amazon Deutschland, there are Poweradd Pilot Pro 5's with 26800mah

If I were to buy one pilot pro 5 for my MScaler, would I also need to buy one for my Golden Ticket winning TT2 ?

The pilot pro 5 has 9v, 12v, 16v, 19v and 20v output's. I know that the mscaler can work with 12v, but can TT2 also work with a 12v input ?

I haven't bought anything as of yet, but if the mscaler only is using a battery, would the benefits of using a battery on the mscaler be nullified if TT2 is still connected to the mains ?

If this post came from a user in russia, it would either be "Fake News" or "Russian Propaganda".

But we love @Triode User all the same.

:D

Well you have just made me smile (as always)!! Thank you. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It probably won’t matter to you but just to say that the PP5 does not do 19v (the PP2 did).

Does anyone know if there are any comprehensive comparisons between the Dave vs. TT2? Not finding much via google. Any help is appreciated.

Should've known better to ask this question and expect unbiased responses lol. Thanks all for the inputs regardless. Will look to try both however I can. May do so before getting an M-scaler, as that can always be a upgrade to either down the line.

My bad, I was confused as I have been looking at a few different battery banks and there output voltages, but yeah, if I were to buy one, I would only ever use it at 12v.

Thanks for pointing it out.

ZappaMan has mentioned me because I am a tireless advocate of the Dave over the TT2. Indeed I and many others prefer the solo Dave to TT2 + Mscaler. What I like about the Dave is its peerless transparency. Going from TT2 to Dave is simply one of those"oh my goodness!" sort of moments. Many people Say how they like the TT2 bass but swop over to the Dave and the bass is so much tighter and well defined. Yes, for me Dave is worth every bit of the extra cost over TT2. I could go on but this is the TT2 thread and many have heard it all before from me. You are probably best to go in the Dave thead and search in that thread for TT2 or even search for posts in there by me and mentioning TT2.

One day I'd like to hear a DAVE.

Question. I’m using roon at the moment and I have my TT2 directly connected to my 2015 MacBook Pro (core) mostly on battery via USB .
Am I using roon the right way?.. since I see most people using a streamer or roon nucleus etc .. I’m saving for an M scaler and really don’t want to buy another box to add to the chain.
I really like the roon software , just want to know if it’s good to use it this way ?.
Thanks in advance.

It's a fine way to use it but FWIW Roon themselves recommends separating core and output for optimal SQ. Good news is you can set up a Roon endpoint pretty cheap w/ Raspberry Pi to test yourself. Check out HiFiBerry or Allo DigiOne.
