Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

Hang in there Paul!
I don't like the, pretty obvious, bullying going on in here either. Not from MK though but others over the last days.
It's not ok anywhere and certainly not here. If for nothing else it violates the policys and is definitely off-topic.
I don't mind a life story or two and am happy for you that you got that job.

On topic though, I hope you give it another go driving your speakers directly from the new TT2.
That really interests me a lot. If you can get it work out for you it will be ok for me as well driving my 93dB speakers.
Of course any other members impression of driving directly is super interesting too.
The idea of replacing my Qutest and integrated amplifier with just a TT2 is "hifi porn" for me at the moment
and I need a daily dose :)
Thanks for your kind words mate, I'll receive my M scaler and Hugo TT 2 this week, I've shown a pic of my XLR sockets and I've wired them positive to pin 2 and negative to pin 1 so when I get the gear I'll let you know. Now if you need more power then it's the TToby but you will get more clarity direct from the hugo TT 2 so fingers crossed

Buck rogers saying on topic is clearly a little joke.

In an attempt to get this back on topic, can I ask a question to those with both the TT2 and M-Scaler.

Has anyone investigated the effect of using different BNC cables, and is it worth paying the premium price for many offerings?

I'm currently using Ghent Audio BNC cables which are cheap and a worthwhile upgrade over the provided cables.

Thanks

Paul

Dude, if your speaking about me bullying paul, get a grip, 1 joke post is bullying is it ?

Trust me when I say you have no idea what you’re speaking about. Things happen in the background that you don’t know about, and believe me when I say that Paul is FAR from innocent.

He knows what he did, I know what he did and you don’t, and if you are accusing me of bullying him, say it instead of skirting around it, because then I can show you proof online to exactly who the bully is.

I spent loads on cables and I wouldn't bother worrying about it, if the product is not enough then you have bought the wrong product. If your thinking I need more save up and buy a Dave it really is that simple, buying more expensive cables won't make a Hugo TT 2 into a Dave that's a fact. I'm not even that bothered about what the Hugo TT 2 is sitting on because Rob watts has thought of everything.
Rob watts has made the pre amp not only a dinosaur but something that effects the sound for the worse, best source a mobile phone and I totally agree

Sorry but I completely disagree. And suggesting that i'm thinking a cable upgrade would make the TT2 into a DAVE is complete nonsense.

I'm not an advocate of bonkers priced cables and wild technical claims, but in my view it is easy to demonstrate that cables "can" have a significant effect. They can't improve a component, but potentially allow you to hear its full potential.

In your opinion, no scientific proof that cables make a difference so we will have to agree to disagree
