Hello,

I have just received this from Amazon. The cables included in the package don't fit the Chord Mscaler power input. The included cables are too small. Do you know the correct size adapter I need to get this working? Do I need something like this? If so, what size should I order? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Adapter-Converter-Equipment-Surveillance-Notebook/dp/B08M5MHKRH
The plug for the mscaler is a 5.5/2.5mm fit.

You can easily order these tips online.

All you need to do then is solder them to the ends of your battery cables as required to create a cable with the right configuration to connect your battery to the mscaler.

Mine came from Amazon and included a short DC5.5/2.5 male to DC5.5/2.1 male cable which I used to plug the battery (5.5/2.1) into the M Scaler (DC5.5/2.5). Also a splitter cable and the charger.

Yeah, I got it. I connected the HMS using the included cable with the "yellow" end. The splitter cable allows you to charge the battery and power a device simultaneously, but the connector is DCS5.5/2.1 only. Do you use the HMS in battery mode and then charge the battery when needed?

I didn't use the splitter cable, I charged the battery by unplugging the cable from the battery and connecting the charger to the battery.

Hi friends. Long time lurker. Very few posts. But I learnt a lot from this forum and I use the M scaler TT2 in my car audio setup.

My doubt is, if I give an optical input into the M scaler and connect Dual BNC to the TT2 and see the sampling rate to max, will I only be getting 192 ?

The input for the M Scaler would be capped at 192 but the output at the TT2 would be full 705/768. I doubt you’ll have many audio source in the car that’s above 192kHz

@ecwl thabks a lot sir .. so am optimising the M scaler correct ?
Yes. Feeding a 44.1 signal optimizes the mScaler as it’s doing the upsampling. Higher res files are fine, and will be upsampled, but unless they are the native recording format, they may not sound as good as the lower res (original) format, since you don’t know how well the upsampling was done. Optical is considered the best input for the mScaler due to no transmission of electrical noise.

This is what has had me confused friends. According to this if we use optical is the output sample from M scaler capped or still 768 is possible ?

No it is not - you just need to use dual bnc as the output to get 705/768

That is a very confusing page. The mscaler will upsample any input to 705/768 if the colour ball is on white.
