Finally finished the 8-hour Beatles documentary using nVidia Shield and 1 million taps from the M-Scaler. How wonderful to experience the rooftop concert through the Chord sound.

Hi all,

Just sat down listening to my DAVE+Mscaler combo. Had a Roon update for my setup and decided to try connecting the Mscaler to my PC via optical.
I recently updated to Windows 11- had no issues playing back sound through my PC before that.

I tried setting the Mscaler to Auto and to Opt 1/Opt 2 but don't get any sound.
Any ideas?

RW posted, "I did say I can't give more details! Research is ongoing, but I have made a huge amount of progress so far in a number of different areas. You will have to wait till later next year to hear the results - but I can say that it will be another xM scaler intended to match Dave..."

Try USB out and se if that works, just tried TT2/MS after Roon updated both via USB from Roon Rock direct and also vi my Node 2i via optical....had lots more drop pouts via optical 1 and 2 than on USB, could ofc be due to Node 2i was via WiFi and Roon Rock via ethernet, I did check my Wifi speed and it was steady 600mps strong so not sure why...this was with Tidal....

Anyone who is using a Auralic Aries G1 with their Chord DAC/MS, using a Node 2i or direct from my Roon Rock NUC in silent case and can have a decent deal on a used G1, like the idea of not having the router nearby and connected to the Roon Core and then into the MS and would like to keep it all separate but not sure if SQ is worth the extra 2K I have to spend.....any inputs from others with similar setup who can pitch in and guide?

Double check it is using your optical out, and that the volume is 100%? Abs not your previous sound setting.

If nothing else try calling Chord support or send them a mail, they are usually quite responsive and can assist on how to proceed and if it is just a setting or something that needs repair...

I completed a little tweak and upgrade today that has very much improved the sound quality of my system. I received a single WAVE Storm BNC cable to use as a way to bypass my HMS’s Amanero USB input in sequence with an Audiowise SRC.DX USB to DX Bridge. Thank you @Triode User
