The Audiowise BNC cables supplied with the opto-dx or src.dx are very bad. I assume they have poor screening and pick up RF noise. Incredible really as my BLU2 is about 4 metres away from the DAVE / opto-dx receiver. I replaced them with 4 x 1.2 m long Oyaide DB510 BNC cables. The DB510 cables have a triple-layered shielding structure and high quality connectors. They are also reasonably priced. The sound quality is darker and more natural when using them.
These short cables did not come from Audiowize. They are an Amazon purchase. As short as they are I doubt they pick up any radiated rfi. The Storms rid themselves of the injected rfi from the mscaler but these feed the mscaler so I am pretty sure in my system they are not subject to rfi. They are very short and may suffer from standing waves though.

What is the difference, would you say between this converter and usb direct to Mscalr? (Thanx for sharing btw)
@Sampajanna, I was extremely skeptical of what the SRC.DX could do to help the SQ of my system until I got it installed. Anything that can minimize RFI from getting into your system is a bonus, and this little USB to BNC converter is the real deal. I hear much improved bass extension and definition, more natural sounding instruments, piano, guitar, wind, and mid-range vocals, and the high frequencies are more clear and unclouded.

Thx so much! I will maybe make a jump. Just one BNC required for Mscaler, as i thought.

The latest picture does look more like mojo 2, for sure
Chord has actually been posting alternate pictures of the new Mojo 2 and new M Scaler which share a similar chassis :santa:

It's speculation.

It would be pretty damn cool if there's also a mini M Scaler coming next week, in addition to Mojo 2.

I’ve just bought an MScaler…. I hope I’m not already out of date by four days…

So… can one use a music streamer with a USB out going in to the SRC-DX then two BNC cables out to the MScaler? Is that overkill or simply not possible? Or is it just one BNC cable out of the SRC-DX? Thank you in advance for helping me understand.

One is all you need unless inputing more than 384k. A Wave cable is ideal if in the budget.

A pair of Wave Cables is already enough for me going from my MScaler to TT2. It would be one Atlas Hyper DD Achromatic cable for the link between the SRC-DX and MScaler.

@zen87192, why would you choose $200 BNC cable to connect a $500 USB to DX filter to a $5,000 HMS? I’m just wondering what your reasoning is because I first had a similarly priced Moon Audio Silver Dragon 🐉 BNC between my SRC.DX and HMS before my 3rd WAVE Storm BNC arrived.

It’s the only cable I have left at the moment that is suitable to get me going. I will look to getting another Wave soon. Just bought two Storms! 🤑
