How strictly do movie theaters enforce the ban on outside food?

my local theater is a small enterprise and they tend to have ushers give food away and other small prizes (depending on the time of day).... small theaters are the best.

hahahahaha!! this is the funniest thing I've read in a long time. You're not trying to cross the border here! No need to put drugs up your buttocks!!

Just go see your movie! put the jerky in your pocket. They're not going to pat you down and frisk you before you enter. My ex and I went to the movies holding a bag of McDonalds and the ticket taker didn't say a thing. We just held it behind our backs and didn't draw attention to ourselves. But just in case they DO come up to you and ask you to leave, be sure to stand up and scream THIS IS MADNESS! then proceed to kick the usher into the chest.

Bring a plastic bag or two, so you can dump your popcorn in it and then immediately get a free refill

amc theater in houston allows you to bring food and drinks.. they just dont advertise.. they allow you do that bc certain people cant eat food from movie theaters and they are allowed to bring their own popcorn and stuff.. it wouldnt be fair so they have to allow others to bring too

What you do is if they want to search bags, well this works if you're a teenage student or look like Jack Black. You put stuff like dirty socks, your boxers, make sure they smell of bo, on top, with some text books underneath that. Then your snacks at the very bottom, covered by the books.

I highly doubt anyone is ever going to bother getting past the 1st layer of deterrents and the book blocks their view, makes it looks like you're doing some study before hand or something and well, it works. They either don't care enough to even bother or even if they do care it just looks like your some bum teenager that spent the night at your mates house and decided to go to the movies or something like that.

the big movie theater enforces it heavily, but there's ways to get around it. my method is to stay in a mob of really really loud people (see: people i come there with) and the ushers won't try to come and take your burrito. yeah, i brought an f'in burrito. i shared of course. also, pockets on the insides of jackets are great. and of course tater tots in your pants for the napoleon dynamite reference. mainly the inside pockets but hey it' worth a try

Ah, it turned out to be a success. I bought an 8 oz. bag of jerky and dumped it all in a zip-lock bag. Then I placed the bag by my buttocks in between my underwear and pants, and I walked casually into the theater. Thankfully there were only a handful of people in the theater, so I was able to nonchalantly pull the jerky out of my pants and enjoy myself to the meaty treat. An usher came in during the first 10 minutes and started walking towards me. I thought I was busted for sure, but apparently he was just doing a routine check to see that everything was in order. Phew! The jerky was awesome

Last time I went to see a movie here in Cayman, there was a couple in line in front of me that brought in a large pizza from Dominos and the security gaurd just shook his head and smiled. I guess he had been under the mistaken belief that he had seen everything.

Im pretty sure they wont care about jerky, well here in sydney anyway. Lol, if your worried about bringing food into the cinemas, you should see the Manilla cinermas...its like a food court...almost everyone has a takeaway meal of some sort while watching the movie lol, its the best
