To make a long story short, I am not satisfied with my present collection of cans.  I do like the Sennheiser sound signature,  having only the 580's to judge the line with.  Are the 650's that much better than the 580's?   With getting new pads and the 650's cable, my 580's are probably closer to the HD600 now so I guess the gap has narrowed a bit. 

Never mind.  I've decided to deal with what I have and leave my poor wallet alone.  Game over.

as you might know, the HD650 have a different sound signature compared to the hD600 and its brother, the HD580. the HD650 is more bassy so its your pick.
