After a crazy weekend of late night poker games and skiing, finally had a little time to cook tonight.  Seared Mahi Mahi in soy sauce infused with shallots, garlic, ginger and fresh herbs.

I've been terribly lazy (and tired) the last few days, so I haven't made much of anything. Last night, I talked my husband into ordering Chinese for dinner.

Mahi Mahi, Hawaiian for "strong strong" is generally called "dolphin fish", though it is neither related to dolphins, nor is it a mammal.

Well, of course it's comparable, it IS a fish.  It's a fairly firm fish, easy to cook, not much of a "fishy" taste, darker meat than most other fish.  Generally comparable to sword fish, though more tender and a sweeter taste.

I had mahi mahi one time and it was wicked good.  It definitely didn't taste like other types of fish I've had (which are few).  It reminded me more of meat than fish.

Tuna(steak) has a texture and taste which is quite uncomparable to other fishes (at least, to my knowing)

Has anybody ever had wahoo? I had it just once, when we were in the South Pacific, and it was AMAZING.

We lost the World Cup because we beat up the Spanish guys, I mean we were too harsch, forgot to play soccer. And simpler: because Arjen Robben didn't score when he had the chance.
Honestly, Spain was simply better then us, they deserved it
 

Thinking about it literally makes my eyes go wet. Big national trauma this summer, again. After 1974, 1978 (lost the final), now 2010. The country stopt breathing that evening.
 
When we won from Brazil, the joy, what a feast! We believed we could do it this time. Not playing the beatiful soccer, but to win the damn thing, for just one time.

I was pretty damn impressed with the Netherlands. I thought they were going to win it all after watching the lackluster Germany vs Spain game.
