My fiancée likes to make Japanese sweets and bakes, I cook.
In the last 3 1/2 years she only cooked once.
There used to be a nice Japanese bakery at the much-missed Oriental City in North London. If one particular girl was serving, she used to slip an extra free bun or pastry into the bag for me.

The good news is that, after 8 years, a new Oriental City is being built in the same location. The old one had restaurants and a supermarket, but the thing people really miss is the eating hall. A big space full of communal tables, surrounded by small stalls all specialising in different and delicious things. It was miles from any of the tourist areas, but people still travelled a long way for a meal there. There was even a stall selling durian and durian-based meals, but they were outside in the car park, for reasons of smell.
