I use a NEC 90GX2 19". I would go widescreen but I' not a big fan of widescreen fps. As long as I still play good'ol CS1.6 I can't see myself switching over.

24" - 1920x1200. I love it and wouldn't buy anything smaller again.
I also purposely avoided going with widescreen for a long time and thought it would suck for FPS and just didn't make sense in general. I was totally satisfied with my widescreen monitor once I bought it though. I still widescreen doesn't make sense in many ways, but as long as it's big enough, it's good.

I still think widescreen format is rather stupid. It's moot point nowadays though.

What I think is stupid is buying a GeForce 285 or the like and then runing a 19 inch 4:3 monitor. I cant think of one single drawback to having a widescreen, unless you have a smaller monitor. Isnt better picture quality and having decent frame rates the reason for all the expensive gaming cards people buy? If so then why not display what your viewing on the biggest screen you can? 400 dollar video card and a 150 dollar monitor??? What, that is like using a Zana Deux to drive your skullcandie MoFo's.

true higher fps (as in not just turning vsync off), nice response times. Though I'd say it likely is related to the fact that the poster above plays 1.6 and the video resolutions preferred might not be favorable on the widescreen monitor .

And then when he is done shooting bad guys? He can have 2 or 3 windows oopen at one time. Or, play a game that supports a widescreen which is all too common nowadays.

My "computer room" has a 19 inch Dell (1024x768) and a 42 inch Westinghouse 1080p HDTV (1920x1080). I usually use the Westinghouse for watching Directv2PC and movies. I use the 19 inch for most everything else.

17" Gateway LCD Panel driven by a 3850. I was thinking about building a liquid cooled beast for gaming. But after I finding Head-Fi, I believe that the majority of my available spending funds will be spent elsewhere first.

This is a 5384 x 4278 picture. How does your monitor handle it?
