Hi! I accidentally erase the included microSD card and i cannot find the latest compatible image for my newly acquired red (latest serial number)... The version it had was 01.01.2024 (without roon). Can anyone using this version backed up his sd card to send me a link with the bin file? Thanks in advance!

Thanks but for some strange reason my serial number starts with 240124***** and works with Red-OS-20221228-2G (that SHOULDN'T work) and have roon support and DOESNT work with Red-OS-20230900 that according to magna is the only one that SHOULD work... Either way i cannot have again the 20240101 firmware which have different output settings for each music service (i dont care about roon)... Any ideas?

I would use the latest version available (20230900), then you should be able to update via the Red web page. It's worth a try.
Regarding Roon for those that use it - remember that you can always use Squeezelite on the Red and enable Squeezebox support in Roon to use the Red with Roon.
yes but to do that i must be able to install Red-OS-20230900 first, but with that version which according to my serial number is the right one, red starts to boot but then halts... the older version works but after all the updates (2 updates) i can only go up to version 2023.04.15

Hmmm . . . I understand. Have you tried calling Magna to see if they have any ideas. You can also try Tim and Kitsune Hifi (US distributor) - he's not that fast answering emails though.
Finally, have you tried RopieeeXL? I haven't tried it on my Red (worked great with my RPi4b) ‐ quite a few do use it with the Red.

all audio distros work fine... moode, volumio, ropieeeXL, etc etc... but i dont care about roon and i like the latest red os version for the ability too choose different output for each music service... There is clearly something wrong about this stupid serial number/os version thing... Magna audio have no idea...i send an e-mail to kitsune also and im waiting for their response...

Did you somehow manage to update to a working 2024.01.24 version or the shipped 2023.09.28? All latest units that shipped in january-february came with 2023.09.28 preinstalled that worked perfect... The one that they list for download (2023.09.10) supposedly for later serial numbers crashes and ethernet goes out... My s/n starts with 240124 and works fine with the older os version 2023.04.15 that supports roon
If someone is using Red OS 2024.01.24 or 2023.09.28 i would be very grateful if following these instructions takes an image from his microSD card. The resulting image file if compressed to a zip file take about 180 - 200mb disk space which is easy to upload to a cloud service e.g. Google Drive... It's very easy to do...the only tricky things are 1. To open win32disk imager before inserting sd card to computer 2. To tick the checkbox "Read only allocated partitions"...
I created an image file from my sd card if someone is interested with version 2023.04.15 and upload it here.
Red in streaming mode with Tidal Connect, I never get bitrate higher than 44.1KHz and 16 bits., when connected to Chord MScaler. Did try coax and toslink outputs from Red to MScaler and getting same result.
When I connect Laptop-> USB-> MScaler I get higher bitrate on same track.
