The zen xfi 2 isn't a very good player, check out the review at anything but ipod. I think if all you're looking for is a portable audio player, the sansa fuze is a quite good choice.

Since the max capacity atm is 16gigs for a micro sd I have per music genre, and just switch them when I want to listen to other kind of music

There is no review in ABI,but there were big complains about touch interface:
it is resistive and too slow, then they upgraded FW - improving the situation.
Nobody complains about SQ.64G version did not appear in Singapore on trade show, despite earlier announcement(incl. price:399S$=less300US$) - you can try
cheaper, smaller model for functions and SQ.I know one buyer - he is very happy, but I did not have opportunity to test it,and he is avarege user, not very critical. You can expect lower price to discount for UI.Singapore price is at least 25% higher then in USA.

And isn't it odd that these high end DAP makers like the AMP3 and Hifiman and the Sflo come in such small capacites? Do they not realize that those of us that want great sound quality most likely only use lossless or high bit rate audio so WE are the ones that need the most space?

It is a fact, that ZenXfi2 is problematic;nobody mentioned here venerable Cowon A3?It is available with 80G hdd(1.8 inch) and has great SQ,not only it plays flac, but it can record line-in in flac!80G today is not much;however - Toshiba has released 320G 1.8inch hdd!Anybody tried to fix it into A3?
In another post recently they write about multimedia/photo viewers from Vosonic. You can change hdd by design up to capacity 500G!but...it doesnt play flac and nobody says anything about SQ.On another your opinion about using flac format walking on the street - not long time ago we were walking
with portable CD players, because we did not have mp3 yet...today we can play flac, just because we can. What we can hear?We can listen birds singing
in woods or chamber orchestra in concert hall - without any electronics and
even one bit is not lost.

The Cowon A3 does indeed seem to support FLAC (according to Amazon and CNET). I have searched for someone who has tried to upgrade the 1.8" up past 120 gb but have found no experiences with the newer hi-cap (250 - 500 gb) drives. That would be a solution for sure. I am stuck with a 4 gb Cowon D2 with a 16 gb SDHC card and it is painful when trying to fit all my lossless Wavs and Flacs on it.
