Any experience with the Schiit Mjolnir 3 and the Susvara? Thank you.

It drives them really well for the price. IMHO better than OOR and equal to Bliss but in a different manner: Bliss for more detail focus, open and wider soundstage while Mjolnir 3 for bass texture and creamy mids and decent soundstage. For me, I prefer the Mjolnir 3 presentation than the Bliss since the low end presence is a bit better. A direct upgrade to MJ3 would be the Hifiman Prelude though Prelude would be even warmer than the MJ3 but has more control of the treble

The only con with MJ3 is that the chokes needed at least 30 minute warm up in order for Susvara to come alive just like a tube amp

Has anyone recently RMA'd their Susvara?

My Susvara has been pristine since the day I got it, with no scratches, and no issues other than the jack inputs cutting in and out.

I sent mine in to be fixed, as it the audio kept going out. I just got mine back today after a few weeks and I got a badly scratched replacement. I just contacted their CS to rectify it, awaiting their reply.

The worst part is that the issue isn't even fixed. The original issue was that it was the right cup, and now this "replacement" has the same issue but on the left (Albeit less frequently).

what ?

I personally would be pretty upset if I babied my Susvara and sent it in and it came back in worse condition…

Sorry that happened! I would reach back out to them…

I went through the same thing with right ear jack. They didn’t fix it. They sent me a new one for out of warrenty pricing.

Most definitely, hopefully they'll rectify it. I am scared I'll be left with this one.

Oh really? Mine is still within warranty, I even asked their CS if they're replacing it with an already used or new device and they avoided the answer.
I'm leaving for JP in 2 weeks so I'll update the thread when I return from my trip.

Lol they offered me a $20 coupon.
Are you kidding me?

Yeah thats not ok if they replaced a mint but broken driver pair with a scratched up but working pair. Also very unusual from what I've seen from Hifimans customer service. I had something sort of similar happen but not entirely the same in the past, and it was fixed. I'd push a bit more as things might have been lost in translation and the system, as at minimum it should be your original headphones with replaced drivers (or a mint pair with working drivers,) especially as you are in warranty.

Go back and complain how they have wrecked your resale value and that the forum is already discussing the dissapointment and implications. They have to do better than that. Im not exactly sure what Hifiman think that ANYONE can buy from them for £20. THe fact they failed to fix it suggests you need a replacement pair. Push this point.

Thanks for the support and suggestions. I'll be pushing to get a proper resolution, I hope this is just a one-off but how does anyone think $20 is enough to compensate for a damaged $6000 used headphone that the end user didn't even cause.
