How would one tell if his is the newest versions ?

If I am not mistaken, 2016-2017 are 2.5mm and 2018 and later are 3.5mm, this was told to me by a headphone cable maker. I have not confirmed.

There has been I think 4 revisions.
Pre-production I heard and was a controversial pair.

First retail

2nd retail inbetween 3 months and another one in 6 months. And maybe more.

The drivers colors were different, magnets were changed up also. And hinged fixed maybe because of my early rants LOL.

I believe purr1n spoke about revisions or someone

So this is interesting... If you have no "green pcb" you have the new revission?

All Susvara have 2.5mm connections, no matter what version. The HEK SE uses 3.5mm.

This was about the series, all series before 2018 had 2.5mm (Hek, Hex, susvara)
All afterwards 3.5mm (Sundara, Ananda, Arya, HekSE)

interestingly I had a susvara a few years back and sold it to raise some money...I bought a new pair about a year later and perhaps it is psychosymatic but I thought the second pair was better...I even told it to my dealer and said they made revisions....I dont know if it is true or not who knows?

It seems so. This must be Hifiman way of stopping versions 2 and 3s.

Can somebody help me understand something.... On the attached pictures, There is two 2.5mm connectors. The one with copper works on the susvara while the one in silver does not.
Are this different? Am I missing something here?

Bottom one is a mono (TS) plug, it doesn't work w/ headphones.

Do you mean into the cups? I thought that pic was amp end into a DAP for some reason. How come you have different plugs on those cables? That is strange..

They are two different headphone cables but for the same type of headphones (Susvara and Edition X)

I am using it for reference. as one type vs the other.

Yes they go to the cups.

As stated above the silver cable "type" wont fit in to the cups of the susvara, while the copper do fit both cups on my susvara and edition x...
