I brought my susvara today specificaly to test this for you. IMO, yes, the 281 runs susvara well. I havent heard true totl amps but I at least have a 13r. This is doing exceptional IMO and has similar bass quantity and slam to 13r
Thank you Eskamobob1 for taking the time to do that. Much appreciated !!

Nice case but don’t think I would take my Susvaras traveling anywhere. I need to find a better one for my Diana V2s.

What's the usual price range for a used Susvara that still in warranty period? I'm saving for one but not sure how much they usually go for

Seems to be depending on age, and input type. An older 2.5mm would likely be around 3500, a newer one around 3700.

Newer 3.5mm's seem to be going for around 3900-4000, maybe $4100 if super duper new.

Obviously the seller and how bad they want to sell it will influence things, but that seems to be how things are currently.

This is what they should proabaly be IMO, but not even close to what they actualy sell for. Most sales prices I see for sub 1 y/o Sus are basicaly at new cost somewhere around 4-4200 USD

That doesn't really line up with my experience watching the classifieds. Obviously the price these actually sell for varies due to PM negotiations, but I've linked some below.

It also varies on the time they were bought. Hifiman increased the dealer cost at some point, I think about 6-8 months ago. That will be carried over into the used pricing, as the pricing people get them new for will have changed and gone up a bit as well.

Under 4000 is definitely possible, and happens all the time, especially for older models. If you want a newer 3.5mm model, its honestly just better to shop around and buy new as it will likely be close to the current used pricing.

If you want a Susvara on a beer budget, best way is the original finish, and 2.5mm connectors, with a motivated seller. Problem is, that takes patience to wait for it to pop up.

These prices are making me feel bad as I just paid over $5K for them brand new. Then again I live outside the U.S. there is VAT, import fees etc., etc. Some headphones are a lot cheaper here but Hifiman is not one of them. I guess Korea's 5,000 year diplomatic relationship with China doesn't mean much for Hifiman LOL (U.S. consumer usually get the best prices)

Really struggling to decide whether to buy the Soloist GT. I know there are zero impression other than Lachlan (Passion for Sound) with Susvara as the amp has not be officially released but can the regular Soloist 3XP almost drive the Susvara? I kind of think of the GT as double/two Soloists turned into a single amp in mono configuration. If the regular Soloist can kind of drive the Susvara then I'm assuming the GT will drive the hell out of them. Strange and crazy audiofool logic of course

No argument sub 4k can certainly be had but you need to realy keep your eye on the market since they go instantly if they are new revision. My point was more of that since the market 100% will support North of 4k you are better off just bugging a dealer and buying new as you only realy stand to loose fees and shipping
