@OneEyedHito
Your WA33 setup is looking beautiful and your descriptions are tempting though I was just starting to really enjoy Ferrum OOR with Hypsos.
Can you share if that is the default tube setup or containing upgrades?
What we should also not forget is the question about price value thinking e.g about Ferrum stack for < 3k USD and WA33 just starting at 8k USD in the default setup.
Of course we know that after some level we re paying significantly more money for more and more subtle improvements but your descriptions sound more significant...
Yes, this unit has Current Build PSVanes with a Sophia Rectifier and the Stock Slovak 6C45's so ½ of the tubes are upgraded at a cost or around $1K USD, I would say this is a $6K USD Preowned setup if I were to "guess". I will compare it to my AHB2 and Spring 3 with Preamp as soon as my proper adapter cable and Attenuator shows up hopefully by the weekend. I can say that if I was looking to spend $15K on an Amp, DAC, and upscaler to play through the Susvara this would be it.

I am on the hunt still for a Tube Pre and really really should not have sold my upgraded WA22 :rage::poop::rage:, happy for the new owner for certain and he is a deserving fella but now I have to hunt.

Yes my WA22 as preamp drives my Susvara heavenly, with Kinki Studio THR-1 as poweramp.

Long shot but has anyone ever tested the Susvara out of a Bricasti M3, the one with the headphone out? It's supposed to be a pretty powerful amp on top of a good DAC and streamer, so wondering if it could be that elusive all in one that can drive the Susvaras with good power...

As an example of the Power and Drive of the WA33 this tracks bass guitar lines rumble the Susvara unlike anything else I have heard yet including the AHB2 and the Oor stack while the Chord gear ricochets the sounds all around in super detail. 11:55 (not quite to 12) on the Volume dial.

I just listed to this on Apple Music using my Chord Hugo TT2/M-Scaler/Riviera AIC-10 combo with my Susvaras. Thanks it was a great track.

Joined the club two weeks ago but patiently waited to see if the honeymoon would end, but it did not. This is an absolutely incredible headphone, and it's difficult to imagine how anything coming out in the future is going to top this.

We are in the same boat! Got mine also about 2 weeks ago, even if my equipment are still not on par with the Susvara tier, I am already enjoying every single bit of it, absolutely incredible!

After several weeks of device and brain burn in with my lower TOTL chain setup 😉 I find Susvaras can even thump hard when called for.
I suppose with TC such tracks must rattle your skull

Listening now thanks, this LoFi Chill stuff is so good as a genre. I wish Roon didn't classify it all as Rap though, would make it easier to find on my searches. If it isn't Aesop Rock it isn't Rap.

Well that review is working on removing some barriers I put in place to keep my wallet from screeching... I was using my chain as the fall guy, but it looks as though I might enjoy the Sus with what I have, for a while at least.

I still like your review anyway...

That’s how I feel listening the the Chord MScaler/TT2 combo with the Riviera AIC-10 the last couple days. I’m really enjoying this pairing with the Susvaras. I haven’t even played with any of my over headphones to see how they paired with the Riviera yet.
Hd800s is the best match from the headphoe output more than sus and TC! 800s sounds shockingly good!

I use my Susvaras from the speaker tap. I have tried from the headphone output and hey did sound good. But from the speaker tap they are Masterfull. I will be trying the HEKSEs from the headphone output. I have a feeling they will be great as well.
