You need the same amp as this system. Sorry. Check the description of the video.

Your 430H is more than enough. Since the Zahl HM1 has been accepted as the reference point of power(2W)

Has Zahl been “accepted”? I thought its just the typical “honeymoon period” after getting a new toy.

You probably right. It must be magical watts Zahl has

Gregory Porter. Take Me to the Alley...One Mic - One Take. You Tube HD. Pure beauty in both song and recording.

That's great!

I wish Qobuz or Tidal had that track.. :frowning2:

Is the 430HA sufficient to power the susvara on its own? I’m keen to get the susvara but my current set up is just a Yggdrasil and 430HA as the amp
the answer is yes, I used to own it...BUT it is no longer in the league of the best options for the susvara imho

My 2 cents:

The 430ha(d) definitely has enough power

Some people are very happy with this amp and would/do highly enjoy the susvaras with it and others may find this amp does not suit them (eg find it too relaxed)

IMHO must be demoed to see how you personally find it. Not a one size fits all

Since we’re on the subject of amps for Susvara, I just found out there’s this amp called Cen.Grand 9i-906 Silver Fox which according to its website is a high power & high current amp. It is said to output 20W @ 30ohm. List price is around $6k. Has anyone had any experience with this amp? It seems they also have this high end DAC that upsamples everything to DSD1024, apparently similar to EMM Labs and Meitner DACs.

@essentiale My experience with moon 430ha. I think it’s a very big sounding amp, listen mostly between 58-60 (of 80max) with 4pin xlr. It’s very Etheral and gives a great stage with lots of air and it’s slightly neutral-warm. It has good rumble down low, at the same time it sounds clean and big.

I compared it with cayin ha300 mk2 which sounded slightly wider, but I found the 430 warmer sounding with slight more bass. (Expected total opposite)

T+A ha200 was very similar sounding. Slightly thinner (without sound tweak)

Hugo TT2 was also nice sounding but I didn’t keep it and still preferred the 430had

You won’t be disappointed with it!

The secret sauce of a DSD dac is the conversion algorithm and the noise shaping methodology - those are in the FPGA code. The actual dac portion is just a single bit pulse width modulator followed by a simple analog LPS.

Edit: the actual implementation of the front end of a true 1bit DSD dac is obviously a lot harder than just some FPGA code. This is why almost all off the shelf delta sigma chips are actually multi bit in nature. So don’t mind me if I’m extremely skeptical about a Chinese company developing their own DSD conversion system.

Their amps are primarily FET output with a mixed character for their digital section. Nothing stands out with their DSP and they've been all over with chip selection.
I wouldn't think they have the expertise to provide a real special sauce in filter algorithm programming but well made at the very least.
