outstanding choice and not anymore expensive than many others amps we speak of...only downside is the effort to get it built and received
It’s also too big for a desk. I need to get a proper audio stand for my office.

any other cable recommendations greatly appreciated

For now, I've settled on the Linx Diamond from Underwood. It's a pure silver cable with very well built connectors. And it is thin and flexible, and very light weight. Priced around $500 new, and occasionaly found on head-fi around $200-300, I find it hits my personal sweet-spot of quality, value, and (important to me) comfort.

Now if I tell you that Susvara knock me out when driven by this Sony STR-7035, would you believe me? :)

Yes :)

I have just joined the family of Susvara. I have Audio-GD HE-9 and R7-HE as the amplifier and source. I owned Utopia and now have another level of enjoyment.

Welcome!

Okay, I have always admired this amp from afar but you're now making it so irresistibly attractive that my wallet feels somewhat alarmed. So I hope you bear with me if I repose this question, even if it has been asked before : Do you find the CFA3 to be as astounding or exceptional for both the Susvara and the 1266 TC as compared to the other already exceptionally performing amps you already. own or are familiar with, such as the Bakoon 13r and the formula SPowerman combo? In other words, for someone who owns both a susvara and 1266 TC and wants a one amp solution, would you recommend going straight for the CFA3 and skipping the Bakoon and the Formula S/P'man altogether, if they're willing to put up with the wait period required for CFA3's build?

Btw I own both a Niimbus US4 and a Pathos InPolear, and feel already plenty satisfied with how both drive the Susvara and the 1266 TC. However, since I do not want to settle for an "ignorance is bliss" solution if I can help it., I could seriously consider letting one of them go in exchange for the CFA3 if the latter is as exceptionally performing as I am beginning to think from reading your posts about the CFA3, although the ideal solution would be for me to hear the latter for myself and then decide from there, which is a luxury I unfortunately don't have at the moment. Still I am asking the question in earnest so bear with me. Thanks.

I think CFA3 is a pretty good choice for TC if you plan on having only one amp. For Susvara, WA33 + AHB2 is the best I have heard. FWIW, I feel TC's sound signature isn't as sensitive to the chain as Susvara, that's why I don't hear quite a big difference between CFA3 and other combos (WA33, WA33+AHB2, etc). But TC responds to power and CFA3 delivers a ton of that.

I have not heard formula or ferrum stack.

I found the iFi Diablo pairing pretty solid for a transportable option so that’s what I would use on the go.

Thanks, as a transportable product it works rather well with Susvara indeed

my cfa3 cost me a fraction of what a wa33/ahb2 combo would cost

If it had been produced by a large manufacturer that relies upon a regular distribution network, its price would be a bit different then. Suffice it to say, enjoy

Let the comparison begin WA33 EE JPS vs EF1000
Hi Clive101,
How's the comparison going for the WA33 EE JPS vs the Hifiman EF1000 ?

What's your thoughts on the EF1000 ?

Yup I've owned both.

The 23R is coloured and warm trying to sound tubey with amazing tonal density and weight to instruments and notes. Transients are softer than typical solid state amps. Overall a very smooth and non fatiguing listen with very impressive bass but the midrange is pretty flat sounding. This is a love it or hate it amp for sure.

AHB2 sounds bigger (has the biggest soundstage I've heard for susvara) and more airy but lacks the tonal density and warmth of the 23R and just is straight up neutral. Not as clinical sounding as a Benchmark HPA4 but for some people this can be a boring amp but for technicalities it's amazing. Pairs very well with susvara.

If you want a more reference listen go for the ahb2 and if you want a more coloured sound go for the 23R. The oor and hypsos is in the middle of both of them regarding sound signature and is slightly warm but has much faster and sharper transients than the 23R and a sweeter tonality than the AHB2 but soundtage size is smaller than both AHB2 and OOR and hypsos.
Sorry you meant soundstage of 23r or Oor is smaller? Thanks
