Hi,
Just received my Noir Hybrid HPC from Forza AudioWorks for my Sundara. Beautiful work. Thick and light with a nice Furutech 6.3mm.
First song... Ouah!?! What are those things i did not hear with the stock cable...
More bass and also more crispiness but with a little less brightness.
I'm 😀😀😀
Congratulations! The Sundara's stock cable really doesn't do these headphones justice.

As u said "Christmas Magic"😉
What i was trying to say is that i hear more things (details...) up there but at the same time the Sundara sounds a bit less bright... (IMO, YMMV, ...)
Hope you'll be able to try one😀
I have FOW copper cable and i love their build quality.
But unfortunately my hearing cant listen any difference i am 42 so :), i also have meze cable and pure silver cable for Sundara.
I am not sure but the pure silver one feels different more thin sound some times.

What's the best relatively affordable replacement cable for the Sundara? Recently bought one and I can't take the default cable after a few days.

Maybe something available on Amazon?

Check out the Meze Audio cables on Amazon:

Also NewFantasia Cables:

NewFantasia Silver Plated Replacement Cable with Dual 3.5mm Male to 3.5mm 1/8" Male and 6.3mm 1/4" Adapter Compatible with Hifiman HE4XX, HE-400i Headphones (The Latest Version with Dual 3.5mm Male)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J2J3MCW/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_M68E84B85KMFC90PKYAC

NewFantasia Replacement Audio Cable Compatible with Hifiman Sundara, Arya, Ananda Headphones 3.5mm and 6.35mm to Dual 3.5mm Connector Jack Male Cord 3.1meters/10ft https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D8WVHK...abc_G2ZCKZDRJ39X68W7M3T6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Etsy has great looking custom cables, but definitely check the reviews and return policy/warranty before you buy.

Hart Audio Cables, but the cable will need an add on interconnect to run 1/4” or 3.5mm to your amplifier, unless running balanced.

All should be under $100, but if you want to push the budget higher there are more premium cables out there.

Hopefully this information was helpful.

I have both 1.5 with mic and 3m meze 99 cables. Have u ever seen those cables inside ?
I cut the 3m to mod it and it's like a thin hair inside. The stock Sundara cable has way thicker copper inside the problem is the outside rubber that it's easy to take off and use soft fabric. Personally I use laces in tie the cable with inside material of laces and pull it .there are many colours to choose also.

Ended up ordering from Hart Audio cables. Got the "touch of gray" color with a 3.5mm interconnect. Can't wait to try it out. If I like it, I'll probably order an additional cable for my Sennheiser headphones.

Am using a Neotech UPOCC solid cores cable, "best of both worlds": 4x 28AWG silver + 4x 24AWG copper:

True for every HFM I've touched except maybe the Susvara.

But the larger point is that the Sundara is lesser than the HE-6se, Ananda, HE-500, and according to many - the XS. All of which new or used are not that much more expensive.

oops, missed this comment: don't spend money on cables, pads, fancy screens for the Sundara.

1. they don't scale that much (better than the 4XX for sure however).

2. use funds to upgrade the can. better bang for the buck. HE-6se does need about 3 wpc at 50 ohms (or a bit more)
