Don’t sell the DAP. The sound & size are big pros imo. I am using red as usb/bluetooth dac due to crappy UI.

Buy the Tera Player, longer battery life, perfect UI, better sound.

Seven years of usage is A LOT by today's standards. You had to love this puppy!
And still love :)
Although after 5-6 years the battery life approached 60 min. Swapping a new battery from aliexpress increased it back to around 8.
Seeing zero screws in the R2R2K I am a bit worried how would one exchange a dead battery in several years? Is the case just glued together?

20191028_055038.jpg My turn to show off:
I'm still in market for IEM/CIEM that pairs well with r2r2k. I dont have the funds to buy a backup r2r2, but the red prince is on my radar.

Yes great stuff @twister6 ! Sorry i hadn’t seen your site before, a brilliant resource.
Your analysis settles my questions on SQ but one final question, is the UI and bugginess of the r2r2000 a deal breaker for you? The r2r feature set justifies the price but not if it’s too frustrating to use. My main use would be with internal files and as a usb dac.

@twister6 any thoughts on the R2R2000 black compared to the AK SP2000 you just reviewed?

Sorry, i don't have access to Black, only Red which I used in Comparison of my SP2k SS review...

@iFi audio , I hope you guys seriously considering 4.4mm iEMatch :D I can imagine that deciding on a slimmer 4.4mm female socket could be challenging, but perhaps you can start off with 2.5mm to 4.4mm iEMatch and then follow it with 4.4mm to 4.4mm. With popularity of Red due to its affordability, I'm sure the demand is there
