Hi friends, anyone in here has the CF Equinox or can access the demo unit, can you please share your finding, it would be great.

So far the best pairing with my R2R2000 has been Dita Truth, FW10000 and EX1000 along with IER-9 (in order of best to worst). I really enjoy what I hear paired with Dita Truth, hence my interest in looking into dynamic driver Custom.

HI folks. The Red player pauses for 2-3 sec between tracks but should play instantly. Probably firmware bug. Does someone has similar issue with long pause?
I am also facing the same problem. I am on the latest firmware. My Fiio x5 1st gen UI is leagues ahead of r2r2k. But, when I press the play button the sound compensates for all the shortcomings & I don't regret selling my sp1000cu. But, normal file browsing & playing should be improved. @TeamHiFiMAN

Anyone can say something about the R2R2000 vs Lotoo Paw Gold Touch?
Sound wise R2R2k is much more interesting in my opinion. Hard to compare so much different , i would probably keep LPGT for classical and Jazz.

In what sense if we may ask?
Certainly it is a matter of perception but R2R2K sound is more organic and natural. Is it related to dac chip or other part of the device I am not a specialist so I could not tell but it just feels like you are submerged into actual music, which is impactful and engaging. LPGT provides with a very clean and aiming to be perfect presentation but it feels like you are facing a reproduction of original sound that is more flat and less entertaining. Again that's about perception but the only way you can judge by yourself is using the two devices one after the other on the same songs with same iems and try various iems due to pairing issues. Then at the end my conclusion is : to me if I had to choose purely on sound, if I could have only one between the two it would be R2R2K as it is a more special experience. LPGT is still an excellent DAP but more of a safe choice which does not particularly stands out from the crowd of other DAPS with very clean and detailed sound which are now on the market sometimes for lower price.

This will do, we know exactly what you've found so enjoyable. Vintage R2R DAC chips tend to bring this particular organic quality to sound.

Hello, may I ask that perception that you have is in both r2r2000 normal and red or in one in particularly?
Both. But since I got the black first, the change was more noticeable. After some time you get used to it and it is only if you go back to a DAP with a more usual presentation that you notice the difference. That being said regarding my impressions on the differences between the black and the red which i posted on this forum i may have to reassess once my black comes back from repair for I do not know if the sound it produced was not impacted by some kind of defect on the amp section.
