It's HM1K dac/amp, i'm looking forward to hearing a dap for replace my R2R2000 Black

only other r2r daps worth looking into are l&p daps, specifically p6 pro and above, since p6 goes toe to toe and apparently pro version and above have much better dynamics. but besides that the biggest upgrade is UI and battery. wish there was a proper r2r dap with proper cost.

Sorry, i have seen your post and really appreciate it but i need a dap traditional as R2R2000. I really love it than HM1K, it couldn't play without the smartphone , it's not convient for me. Thanks for your patience

Simple, if the player needs to rely on a secondary device to control it, I have zero interest. To me a DAP has to have integral control built into the device. To me HM1000 is just a DAC/AMP that happens to have internal storage, worse relies on a single APP for control. Right now the only upgrade path for R2R2K is the Luxury & Precision P6 Pro, equally pricing is high.

For now HM1000 is my most favourite R2R sound, which I listen to more than P6. I look forward to seen how LP6 gold is.

Congratulations to you, i also want to try LP6, it's really great. Now i don't have enough money to buy it.However, i have read from another page that LP6 is designed for headphones and P6 pro is designed for iem. I haven't even tried both of them but i still love the design of LP6, it's more beautiful than P6 pro hahaa. You used to have R2R2000 Black and now with the LP6 Gold. Really appreciate if you help me to compare two device. Many thanks

Thank you for the nice comment. Sadly, my R2R2000 black was traded in for the HM1000. I really miss is, and for the size of it, truly is is a remarkable DAP. It is really small, and for me, it had enough battery to last my morning and evening commute to work.

HM1000 is a nice dap, more mature than R2R2K sound, however not as fund and engaging as R2R2K.

I dont quiet enjoy the P6 and once the LP6 arrives, one of them will be sold. P6 is great for DXD and hires files, I bought it hoping I would use if for its Bluetooth, but its Bluetooth has volume issues, I cannot adjust the volume.

Mine is the black model with upgraded psu. I literally forced them to sell me this one as I couldn't wait for the gold one.

upgraded psu! interesting stuff, all of the hm1k dacamps seem great tbh, but as an owner of r2r2k red i definitely won't be switching, do you have c9? would love to hear your thoughts on that combo.

i absolutely love the r2r magic in the r2r2k red but some comments here on the n6ii a02 + c9 got me very interested

I really wanted to buy the C9, but as I know I my staking days are over.

There are many great gears out there, for example ibasso dx300 which on first listen made me question many of my current dap purchases but truth is products like LP6 and HM1000 are like those itches that I can't quiet scratch. I buy them because I need to put my curiosity to sleep.

I'm need to pay off LP6 and sell some of my other day before I dare look at anything else.
