I guess for stationary use you would be better off with something that uses a state-of-the-art professional AKM or Cirrus Logic DAC/CODEC, like an RME or Echo AudioFire sound card.

D10 is designed and made(and make) in China and highly regarded. DarkVoice amp is another example. PK1 is another example.

Lots of Nokia phones are now made in China.
