HifiMan HE6 V2 Adorama

Put these back on two days ago. I think I had forgotten how great they sound. These are definitely in my top three now. As long as they keep working, I will be using these regularly for years to come.
My love for these headphones has raised one question for me: What Hifiman headphone would you upgrade to from these? I exclude the Susvara's as they're stupid expensive.
Love to hear from the HiFiman veterans on the thread.
Good question, I was wondering the same, posted similar question in High-End section.
the OG HE-6 :)
For me I think the Hifiman Ananda complement the HE6SE V2 nicely, mostly because they don't need anywhere near as much power as the HE6SE V2 (or HE6 series in general).

I swap between the HE6SE V2 and Ananda, and my Sennheiser 660s's, and on occasion my IEM's...

Hifiman's new XS might be worth checking out too, instead of the Ananda...I haven't heard the XS yet myself.

You refer to the HE-6? There is its brother the HE-500, HE-6SE v1 v2; a bit different Arya iii, and XS. Susvara can be had open box for about $3800.

I looked at the Ananda's earlier on, but it seemed that nearly all Ananda's owners moved up to the Arya's so I stopped there.

I am now wondering about the HE1000 series.

Isn't it a similar sound to the V2 sound? I am not really into collecting vintage headphones.
Legend says the og is better in every way.

Joking aside: I have not heard the 4 nor 6 screw he6 so I cannot vouche for it personally but people that have do say that the original HE-6 ís better in every way

For me: I left the HE-6 scene after 2 occasions of membranes stuck to the magnets. Got a HE-500* and enjoy the stories about the legendary HE-6.

*just as legendary

Knock on wood, I hope mine will last for a few years.
I am Very curious about the HE1000 models and how they compare to the HE6se V2's. Maybe I should just start going through HE1000 threads.

HE6se V2 are fantastic headphones. But to me they were overwhelming: too mach information thrown in my ears.

I love that about them. For several days before putting them on, I was using my LSA HP-2's. I think they are great closed backs with detailed sound that seems pretty open.
However, when I put these on it was auditory overload and I loved it! For me, they are Elex's on steroids. Tons of fun!

I had this problem with my LCD-3F for a while. But I got over it :)

Where are the Susvara available open box?
When I was into the search I found about 6 places that had them actively or very recently from 3700-4200. This was about 6 months ago. About 6 months earlier I found the same. I'm sure a few are demos or returns but most are probably just vendors wanting to move difficult to sell pieces and make a few bucks.

I purchase LCD-X to replace HE6se V2. I wanted something that is easy to drive. I would say that LCD-X is not a replacement of HE6se. Hifiman is superior in every way. As long as you have a good amp for them.

I tried LCD-2's a few times and didn't like them. I then bought the LCD-Classic's and was not impressed with them. Good luck with the LCD-X's. Do they also require a lot of EQ'ing?
