Congrats on the house! Its a super competitive market. Every time moving forward your wife says you can't buy headphones remind her that the value of the home increased XX percent over the last year! You can buy some great TOTL and still be way ahead!Ahhhhhh, we just got an offer accepted on a house we want to buy! Now we go through the inspection and appraisal stuff, hopefully it all goes smoothly and we'll get to close on the new house in about May or so, and then I'll have fulfilled my promise to my wife about not buying any more headphones until we bought a house. And then I finally get to join the HE6se V2 club!

Great, great, great amp pairing - Burson Timekeeper 3i with banana-plug-to-XLR cable driving the HE6SEv2 from the speaker taps.

Do you know its wattage at 50 ohms out of the speaker taps?Great, great, great amp pairing - Burson Timekeeper 3i with banana-plug-to-XLR cable driving the HE6SEv2 from the speaker taps.
I do not. It's 100 WPC at 4-8 ohms. My guesstimate is somewhere in the 30-40 WPC range into the HE6SE/Susvara.Do you know its wattage at 50 ohms out of the speaker taps?

In low-gain mode, volume at 30 gives me a perfectly comfortable listening volume.Talk about headroom!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my method to convert WPC from 8ohms to 50ohms:
https://www.rapidtables.com/calc/electric/watt-volt-amp-calculator.html
I plug in 8ohms and, in this case, say 100 watts. It calculates a voltage of 28.2 volts. Then I plug in 50 ohms and 28.2 volts and recalculate and it gives me 15.9 watts. So calculating this way, 100WPC@8ohms works out to 15.9WPC@50ohms.
I don't know if this is the right way to do the conversion, this is just how I've been doing it. If anyone can confirm or correct me, that'd be appreciated.

According to an Ohms Law calculator, 100 watts @ 8 Ohms should be 16 watts @ 50 OhmsDo you know its wattage at 50 ohms out of the speaker taps?
Problem is they list it as having 100wpc at 4 and 8 ohms, so I don’t know if there’s something else in the machine that adjusts based on load. Same calculation gives a WPC of 9 if it’s 100 at 4 ohms.According to an Ohms Law calculator, 100 watts @ 8 Ohms should be 16 watts @ 50 Ohms

Well, even 9WPC at 50 ohms is still insane, so y'know, whatever. lolProblem is they list it as having 100wpc at 4 and 8 ohms, so I don’t know if there’s something else in the machine that adjusts based on load. Same calculation gives a WPC of 9 if it’s 100 at 4 ohms.

Put these back on two days ago. I think I had forgotten how great they sound. These are definitely in my top three now. As long as they keep working, I will be using these regularly for years to come.
My love for these headphones has raised one question for me: What Hifiman headphone would you upgrade to from these? I exclude the Susvara's as they're stupid expensive.
Love to hear from the HiFiman veterans on the thread.

Absolutely love these. What ~$1k range phones should be next on the list that will not leave disappointed?
Already have HD800 and Clear MG Pro.
Looked at Arya, those while sharing some traits with HD800 seems like trailing behind on soundstage and details.
LCD-X 2021, not really into PEQ and afraid the comfort and weight didn't improve much since I owned LCD-2 that were too much to really enjoy the music.

Ragnarok 1 in balanced mode is 100 watts @ 4 ohms, 60 into 8, 15 into 32, 10 into 50 ohms.
It's designed to max out for headphones and as integrated amp.
The Burson had a SE headphone out that's good for 2 wpc (not sure of the ohms).
The Burson via speaker taps - which is where I'm running my HFMs from - puts out 100 WPC at 8 ohms. Whatever it's outputting - and calculations suggest between 9-16, although that's beyond my comprehension - it's more than plenty. That's unlikely.
