Exactly the pads I've got on mine! Yes, the mounting was annoying as hell to get them on there and I now hesitate to want to even swap back and deal with that again.

But yes, the feel of the Eikon pads is fantastic (premium) and the sound is too (and the smell!).

Compared with stock velour hifiman pads, the sound becomes more rich and thicker/denser in my opinion, it's a more full-bodied sound which is super enjoyable.

As I always say - I still love the velour pads for their open and crisp clean sound but it is nice to have both options for these headphones.

Often a good leather set and velour pad set gives you some nice variety with the sound of a headphone and that is certainly the case with these two options.

Both IMO are much preferred over the stock pali pads. Pali pads were not the right choice for these.
It was your post that inspired me to try the lambskin perf :).

Hifiman replied me about RA
Might be your chance to back out then and find something easier to drive?
Hifiman said that exchanging to XS is not available now :frowning2:
The offered me Ananda for addition $90. I love that I can drive them with my phone, but nobody really say any good words about Ananda. Arya is $990, I would better buy LCD-X then.

What did you pay for the headphones, $599.00? For that price I got my Elex's, which I love. Of course you never know when they are going on sale.

The LCD-X's will cost you a Lot more than that, unless you're buying used.

I've got mine for $550. Elex is a dynamic driver, I need a planar.

$1200 is not that bad, I can save a lot on the amp for it.

If you want a planar that has a similar sound signature to the HE6se there is always the HE560 V4 for $230. Don't let the price fool you, despite being less than half the cost it probably has ~85% of the performance of the HE6se. It's lighter, easier to drive, and looks nicer (IMO). I also don't think the drivers can get stuck since it's a single sided design. https://www.adorama.com/hmhe560v4.html?sdtid=15513325&emailprice=t

I guess I missed the part about it needing to be planar. I love my T60 Argon's, but they do need some bass boost. They are Not nearly as bassy, or messy as the T50's from what I have heard or read. They also need power, but nothing like the Hifiman's. Any good quality amp will be fine. For me, the iFi bass boost is a must on both headphones.

You could definitely save hundreds with a cheaper amp. You could buy the Argons and a very nice amp for less than $1,200.00

I can vouch for the T50 Argon + Singxer SA-1 combo. Great synergy.

Arya sounded good on the mainline.

Do you have any recommendation for the adapter from speaker taps to balanced headphone adapter? Available for purchase in EU? For running HE6se V2 from integrated amp.

Can anyone please share their preferred EQ profiles for the V2s? The Harmon profile by Oratory totally jacks up the sound imo with a complete loss of detail, although I think it’s really made for the V1. Wondering what you all use

I'm not sure if you can find something like these in EU but this is what I use:

Unfortunately, the second item is not currently available at Amazon. They seem to come in and out of stock. This is what happened to me before and I snagged one when it came in stock for like $30 USD.

This suggestion was made by someone else in another thread but I couldn't find the original post. Nonetheless, if you can find these two items (or something similar), you should be able to directly tap into the speaker terminals.

Hope this helps.

Hello guys,

Is my drive stuck again? I just received the he6se back from Hifiman for probably the same problem... first time the left driver sound recesed and has no bass. Now is sound ok with bass on both drivers but is... boring at least.... has little Soundstage, imaging is bad, details well I don't know first pair I listen for 2 days... but what I miss is the synergy, the wow factor that I have with first pair........

I take pictures of the driver so left one touch the magnets in the middle of the driver, when music plays is moving a little the middle part stays stuck...

Pads replacement instruction.

I have the 4XX, 500, 6SE and they seem the same in terms of mounting - but the 4XX seems easier to do, I think the the holes might be a bit bigger.

The HE-6 SE v* is a lot better than any 560 - except it does take real power to run the 6SE. The 560 lacks technicals, doesn't have the same bass timbre. Has a tough spike at 5k, and a pretty big hump at 1k. I'd listen to the XS, 6SE, 560, and the Ananda. before buying any of them if I could manage it.
