Curious

Ps are your listenings in streaming/flac/else?
Yes! I am listening to only flac and Hi-res actually :D But since it's easier to share spotify links here, I usually only share spotify links! Thank you again! appreciate it very much.

Has anyone compared hekv2 stealth to susvara?

I have susvara but considering selling them and getting hekv2 stealth to be able to use with a DAP
Hey there.
I also want to try these headphones on my Fiio M15s. I just read than an Ibasso 320 can handle them (exactly the same 1.2W of power output as the M15s so perhaps can be ok).
Could you try them since you posted this message?
And does the He1000 v2 would sound really better than my Focal Clear ? I mean a big step up. I want to try something new but I must admit that the clear with some little adjustments is really good

Clear is Amazing. I have the MG which is a bit darker, perfect for my sensitive ears. The first noticeable difference is the soundstage, it's definitely much much bigger compared to Clear. You didn't realize it until you go back to the clear, and realize how narrow it is. Both are good in their own way, they both have very different presentation. Clears definitely have more slam, which is good for EDMs and Rock, but HEKV2 have more air. This means Classical and Jazz is amazing on this.

Thanks for your reply. The problem is I listen a bit of eveything... Perhaps better to stick with the clear then? 2000€ is some money (I paid the Clear 600€ used)

It really depends on what type of music you're listening to! HEKV2 is technically more impressive. But I'm still reaching for my clears MG for certain genre. Clears or Focals in general presents the music in a more intimate way, Vocals will sound inside of your head. But HEKV2 makes Vocals to be in front of you. I can't say that one is better than the other. But That's a really good deal on the clears! If you ever want to go for the HEKV2, I would say buy it used or just wait for a sale! I think you can get open box Hekv2 now for around $1400?

I am in France and never saw that kind of deal. Best price with a discount is 1950€ here. I just saw a used one (5 months old) at 1799€. Too expensive given the price new.

Ahhh I see, Yeah Hifimans are surprisingly even cheaper here in Asia. I could get the V2Stealth for only $1300. I mean to be honest, Instead of spending 1799€ on an HE1000v2. I would say just save up a bit more to get a Focal Utopia used the OG one.

I am a bit lost between the versions. They have the HE1000, the HE1000 stealth magnets (open box) and the HE1000 v2. The HE1000 SM is .. better than the OG but worse than the v2?

Are you saying it is better than the Hifiman? I never heard one...
Utopia is better than HEKV2, no doubt. But I think its on par with the HEKSE and just not as good as Susvara depending on what you're looking for in a sound presentation.

He1000SM is more dynamic but brighter with narrower soundstage. I think you'll be happier with the clears if you're planning to get the SM. The V2 is the better one.

Ok, was tempted with a 1400€ choice here with the Magnets. I find poeple here on the forum prefering the SM... Always the same issue : only my ears can tell...
