They're worth the most expensive GPU:gs1000smile:
4 screw about $1150, 6 screw about $850, and LFF mod of either - add $500 each if not more, and you;ll be lucky to see one 4 and three 6's hit the market in the next year.

I'm never selling mine. If nothing else, it's great for testing new gear.

Never say never. If someone tosses enough money at me, I'd probably do it. Just gotta dangle enough dollar bills lol.

Did the blue tack mod on my newly acquired early 4-screw MINT condition. My heart stopped when the old cables fell of the driver, but after 30 minutes of planning and careful soldering I’ve successfully replaced the old cables with kimber kables. Not sure if I have the stomach to do the other driver, but would it be an issue? Won’t I get a mix of the same positives from without blue tack (mid bass impact) and with (better sub bass control)? Or should I try again tomorrow? 7FEE4EA8-8326-4172-8B1C-21F0F3F8F819.jpeg74764B61-6DEB-463B-AFF5-B81764A8524D.jpeg

Lol are you the one that won the yahoo Japan listing a short while back? Also, I would definitely do the other driver. But of course be as careful as possible as always.

No I got my pair from a friend that have a passion for collecting the best headphones available, he knew how much I wanted it, so after making an offer of 1200$, he did the craziest thing out of kindness an curiosity. Traded my V2 for his HE6…. Currently trying to make him take more money from me….

I asked him if it was kept in the box since 2010 since they looked like new. Was planning to mod them with Audeze carbon, but the headphones are MINT so don’t want to touch them, or at least as little as possible

4-screw sounding real nice right now. Haven't listened to it in awhile.

Earlier this year I dialed it in as I've always struggled with it being a little too sibilant. The right pads and some surgical mask material is all it needed!

What would you consider the right pads? I've got some ZMF Universe Leather on mine and I don't feel like they're optimal. But, the stock pads were so crappy I had to do something.

Anyone want to sell their HE6 6-screw model? (Want to try it, as I’ve then have tried all of the HE6 releases, and my life would be complete)

Tried quite a few pads over the years. Ended up with the Dekoni Elite Hybrids. These are just what worked best for me along with the dampening I added. The Uni pads are great with a lot of headphones. I use them on my TH-900's.

I did recently get some new PaliPads to try with the 4-screw. I'll try them out soon.

I have JMoney Beyer pads on mine, but I doubt there are many here who have been around long enough to even remember who J$ is...

I have one too, but preffer stock velvet pads.

IMO ...bass leaks into mids with J$
