The only thing really elevated on the HE560 is the upper frequencies. A U or V shape needs elevated bass which the HE560 doesn't have (more linear and even rolled off on the lowest notes).

I believe this is the source of your graph: https://www.lifewire.com/hifiman-he-560-review-3134547.

https://www.innerfidelity.com/images/HiFiMANHE5602014.pdf looks different, more like how these cans sound; about the same here: https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements/hifiman/he-560/.

I had these headphones. I have sold them because they are too expensive compared to quality.
I preferred the sennheiser hd650 or the mrspeakers ether c flow.

I hope u r talking about the original 900 price tag...
There was a big sale from Adorama and each pair was like 250 USD, incredible p/p IMO.

I prefer to listen to my HE560 over HD650, everyone is different. Once I got HD700 my HD650 was forgotten

umm....are u talking about the technical capabilities or the sound signature?
Cuz from the technical standpoint, HE560 outshines the 650 in almost every aspects i can think of really.
Sound signature preference is objective though, as i prefer the balanced and very versatile sound of the HE560. That said, i want to buy the HD6xx for its warmer and more relaxing sound.

Yes is true but the quality is outstanding
Yes it is very nice. I just sold an Ether C and as nice as it was, I actually preferred the Quad ERA-1. The Quad sadly has flown under the radar here, and as wonderful as Dan is at voicing headphones, and he is, Quad has been voicing award winning speakers for longer and they took the plunge into headphones and in my opinion did a fantastic job.

I'll try to hear it.
