Sorry to hear you're in such a state, my friend.  Hope you can get good money for it all, and a decent pair of closed cans to keep you going.

Thanks bro :) I also have some tubes for sale if you want them

It's not all too bad, but as a freelancer I always told myself never to drop below a certain number and I just dropped below it. If I do I just have to sell some stuff off because otherwise I will be in some serious money danger. I don't want that trouble so I just have to start selling my gear

I don't want to be in the situation that I'm in audio nirvana but can't pay the bills, you know

If I could sell my own headphone amp I'd gladly buy the Lyr, at least to try something new. Oth it hasn't got any pre-out..

Anyone knows the cons of using a passive pre-amp for the emotiva (except adding another component to the chain)? Just throwing it out there..

Did you like them?

Yes, but I'm liking my Philips Miniwatt SQ E88CC even better. Have you heard them? I'm liking them more than all the other tubes I've had including Siemens E288CC, Siemens CCA, Telefunken ECC88 (although I liked them a lot). I had more but those tubes were my favorites. I liked them all but Philips Miniwatt are better to my ears.

Yep, I have a pair. They were my favorites until the E188CC La Radiotechniques came along.

I thought the e188cc was considered higher specced/ better than e88cc?

My tube collection consists of 2 set of matched tubes. Phillips 6922 and JJ e88cc. Frankly, I don't care which I use, but I prefer the JJs as one of the 6922 is slightly microphonic. Also got some 80's Sovjet 6N1P, but I think it requires a beefier powersupply than the wall socket one I have.

E188CC is regarded as better and more valuable. But every ear hears different

I guess the only person willing to be my valentine right now is Mary Jane. She's always been there for me :/

At least she makes my music very epic :p Mary Jane makes my HE-500's large and sexy cups sing to me

Out of topic.. But I just gotta say this.. Threesomes with Mary Jane are the best.

Lol.

Are you going to list your stuff in the Classifieds here, or just do PMs?  Either way, do you have a list of gear?

I just got offer by my good friend MunkyNutz to get his headband for HE-500. You guys are actually tearing me apart with a guillotine!!!!

I figured that it wouldn't take long for some monkey business to set in.
