Why not https://gladiatorcables.com/gladiator-lineAnyone tested WS with any of the cables that are sold in Etsy?
You can get a different splitter - I'm not a fan of the helmet one.

The Edition XS is great for gaming and music. The DT 1990 is picky for music and great for gaming until the treble gets too much.
The XS is arguably more detailed and is more tonally balanced. Get the XS.
I've used both of them thoroughly. For competitive gaming 1990 has an edge but XS is great too.Someone compared the XS with the DT 1990 Pro for gaming use? Which do you think is better for that?

For normal gaming, XS is better. 1990 is overly aggressive and forward for that. Instead of creating an immersive atmosphere, 1990 make you inspect the sound quality of the game which breaks the immersion i think.
XS is also more comfortable but have stability issues.
Unfortunately XS will never produce that impact. 1990 is a punchy headphone. So, I received the XS and I compared it to the DT 1990 Pro.
For music... sorry there is just no competion: the XS is for me world ahead the DT 1990 Pro, stop.
However, for gaming I definitely like more the "in your face" sound of the DT 1990 Pro, I just feel that I'm "there" in the game, the sound is "stronger", but sadly here I miss the "immersive atmosphere" you talk about. If I use an EQ for the XS and I boost the 8kHz the sound is for me much better, also "live" like the DT 1990 Pro. But too maybe I like here the DT 1990 Pro more. Can you suggest me a custom EQ for the XS in order to reproduce a similar "sound impact" of the DT 1990 Pro? It has to do with the treble, that's sure.
Thank you for this!Unfortunately XS will never produce that impact. 1990 is a punchy headphone.
Filter 1: ON PK Fc 100 Hz Gain 3.0 dB Q 0.100
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 7500 Hz Gain 6.0 dB Q 3.000
Filter 3: ON PK Fc 1800 Hz Gain 3.0 dB Q 1.000
Filter 4: ON PK Fc 1000 Hz Gain -3.0 dB Q 3.000
Filter 5: ON PK Fc 3000 Hz Gain -4.0 dB Q 3.000
Filter 6: ON PK Fc 4750 Hz Gain -3.0 dB Q 5.000
Something like this should make tuning similar to 1990.

Hello Phiemon, You can try this one as well, this is a great cable. https://www.headphonezone.in/produc...r-plated-upgrade-cable?variant=40563883016380Someone compared the XS with the DT 1990 Pro for gaming use? Which do you think is better for that?
I tried this settings and with this eq the XS are indeed similar to 1990. It is definitely much better than before but for me not enough - now that I use the oratory1990eq settings for the 1990 which are even better.
With that eq settings we are on the right way. Please, could you (or someone else) try to think again about it and tell me how to make the sound even more similar to 1990? I need that "treble peak" which can be "sibilant", the gunshots should be more "punchy", more "impact".
I really would like to keep the XS because they are just fantastic for me!
The Zen in bal mode is very forward, within your head but very engaging.
So far with my limited time, I have had the vol about 9:00 to 9:30, max 10:00 but not much need for more. Vol only starts at 7:00 (o'clock).
