You will need an Android phone + purchase UAPP (usb audio player pro) + in-app purchase toneboosters to gain access to PEQ.

Follow above pic and input all the numbers correctly.

Then go to the phone settings > system and activate developer option to select LDAC in quality (990kbps) mode = The best sounding bluetooth headphones.

Hi all. I have tested the HF Deva with Sony NW-ZX 500 DAP. I am using 4.4mm cable that came with Sony 1am2 headphones.
Volume level is around 60/120 (high gain). And the result is amazing! It has lots of bass and punch now. Would recommend this for any EDM music.

Hey all, I was looking for some suggestions before I contact Hifiman. I am having issues with the bluemini. I was wondering if anyone know of a way to manually reset it?
Hi there, We have sent message to you, please feel free to contact us whenever you need any help. :)

Waiting for your initial observations

Yes, sorry for not getting back about that. Been dealing with tinnitus recovering from an ear infection. Soon as I recover fully, I'll report back. 👍

Hello everyone.
I am currently considering purchasing the Deva (cable only) or Sundara.
In my country, the Sundara is 40% more that the Deva (cable only). I have no need of BT.
From all the reviews I have seen, the Deva is a bit easier to listen to and not that much different from the Sundara. Other than price, it's easier to drive and more comfortable.
Would this be a good option for my first planar headphones ?
Current setup is DF black + SHP9500. I will be getting another dac/amp to get rid of the horrible volume control of DF and lackluster performance and the choice of cans plays a big role, as I have heard the Sundara's need a proper amp, where as the Deva can perhaps make due with something like a zen dac.

I've been around high end audio for 25 years, and in my experience there are those rare pieces that get you 90-95% of the performance of mega-priced gear for only a fraction of the price. I would put the Devas in that class. Beyond their performance and price level, you'll find little quibbles. This headphone is slightly better here, or slightly better there... I'm still looking for those headphones that honestly justify being 10 times the cost. And that's coming from someone who owns a pair of Stax pro models. They were 10 times the relative cost, and I'm listening to the Devas right now by choice. Tell you anything? I have a number of really good headphones, but the Devas were also my 1st planets. Haven't been disappointed for a second. If I were you though, i would invest in the Bluetooth. The bluemini unit is also a decent quality DAC, and the sound ran through it in that configuration is a serious upgrade for the sound from your laptop or even phone. I've plugged them into my big rig, used with my Surface, listening bluetooth right now. They are enjoyable every way. As a bonus, most say they are much more comfortable than the Sundaras. That's my 2 cents... Happy shopping!

Thank you kindly for your time and input.
Unfortunately, in my country the Deva + BT costs the same as the Sundara, so 40% more (110 euro difference). I already have a pretty decent dap (Xduo X3ii) that I use out and about with some IEMS, so I will probably just use that if I feel the need for being mobile.

Well, since that is pretty much settled, how about we discuss pairings:
Reading through this and other reviews, I have summarized:

- topping dx7 pro (840mw@32)- meh, kind of bright
- tr-amp (350mw@32) - good pairing
- xduo xd 05 plus (1000mw@32) - great pairing
- zen dac - (230mw@32) good pairing, but lacks power (1 o'clock distortion)
- hipdac - (280mw@32) good/very good pairing, better power
- creative g6 - (NA) good , with EQ, though this amp distorts.
- jds atom (1000mw@32) - good pairing
- chort hugo (740mw@32) - very good pairing

Some have said they do not scale well with much more expensive stuff, which is to be expected for their lower impedance.
Since the deva is 27ohm, I imagine anything above 400mw@32 is just more cherries on top.
What do you guys think ?
