Thought i would dig this thread up cause i love it and seeing Fostex publicity. I would like to hear more about Fostex and the other 2, since i never heard the Thundershorts

How is the comfort on the Darth Beyers?  Yours seem to have velour earpads, have you tried them with leather?

i like the velour too much too change, leather would be hot too.

that's an excellent question and what most people want to know definitely.
In my limited experience I find what most people (myself included) that look for and find bass monsters really want is balanced headphones that will go low. Excess bass is fun but annoying after time. If I was recommending headphones that are in the same price category as the ones above; put the sennheiser hd650s on your list to audition or read about. They are such a well know headphone that instantly gives you a base for comparisons. Even the less expensive hd600 would be appropriate.
