I think that Walkmans use unusual hardware. Many apps don't work with them.

Yeah, come to think about, that makes sense.

@Joe Bloggs Out of curiosity, do you know if there are plans to bring the parametric EQ to the iOS version of this app, and if so, any time soon? I love this feature on my R6 Pro II and R4, but ideally could also really use it on my iPhone version of this app.

Thanks so much!!!

I have a Hiby R4 and im comparing music player apps for audio quality and the Hiby Music app sounds soft or smoothed over compared to Qobuz or UAPP with the exact same file. I dont have DSP enabled in any of the apps. Qobuz is more clear and detailed than the Hiby app but UAPP (using the UAPP hires driver) sounds more detailed AND has more low end. Just trying to get my head around what is happening here and to bring attention to it so maybe the Hiby driver can be improved. @Joe Bloggs

Thanks

Hi, I'm having an issue where I'm adding cover art with a metadata tagging program and none of it is showing up in Hiby Music. I'm on an LG phone. All the other metadata is, but not the Cover Art. I've verified that the resolution is 600x530 on one and still no luck. Any ideas how to solve this?

Edit. Also if anyone knows how to get rid of the strange test tube graphics to the left of each genre, I would be so thankful.

is your cover art jpegs in progressive format by any chance?

If so try converting to baseline format.

Sorry can how to import my EQ profiles that are txt to Hiby music app? As I see when I click the import from local on PEQ I see that can not find any txt files. Even if I download peq profiles from here (https://github.com/kaurav99/PEQ-AutoEQ/tree/mai) still the app can not recognize nothing.

The same and from APO/Peace for .peace profiles.

Does anyone knows?
Put a sample file of yours here. Have you updated to the latest version of the app?

Yes I am on the latest version. What file need to be attached. I attach a txt as .peace and .peq can not be uploaded
Looks like you're missing a number after each filter: Filter 1 Filter 2 etc.

But the txt files should appear in the file picker just fine, just maybe not load when you tap it. Is it not even appearing in the file picker?

If not, try saving a version as ANSI txt and another as unicode text and see if one would appear?

Hello, the issue that the txt are not appeared. Is there any setting for that? I try to save as UTF-8 and Ansi but still nothing. Can not find out what is going on. Does it need to create an account, is it mandatory?

What exact version of hibymusic is this "latest version" that you have installed...?

Where did you store this text file?

Did you grant all permissions to the HiByMusic app on first installation?

What device are you using?

Sorry, my mistake gave permissions to all files and voila! Thank you very much!
As I see the .peace files from Oratory can not be imported.
Only txt files and .peq Also can support more that 10 bands EQ? And the Filers should be named such as filer1,filter2? As with Apo/peace there is not such issue.
Thanks for all

The parser was modelled on files exported by squig.link .

Here's an example:

Preamp: -5.0 dB
Filter 1: ON LSC Fc 58 Hz Gain 5.1 dB Q 0.667
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 2985 Hz Gain -6.0 dB Q 3.600
Filter 3: ON PK Fc 5548 Hz Gain -6.0 dB Q 7.200
Filter 4: ON PK Fc 8475 Hz Gain -8.0 dB Q 7.200
Filter 5: ON PK Fc 12000 Hz Gain -7.0 dB Q 7.200

Filter (space) (number 1-10)
Fc number: whole number (no decimals)

I know for a fact that decimal Fc numbers were not supported but I was telling the team to start supporting it.

I do not know what would happen if there's no numbers after the word "filter"

Try and see 🫠
