Subscribed. The RS8 was my favorite DAP from SoCal CanJam out of the ones I tried (RS8, A&K SP3000, LP6 Gold)

Also, I've posted my SoCal CanJam impressions on the RS8 in the Watercooler thread, just scroll to the final section of my post:

Hah! So cool, Chris. I think everyone from our little MusicTeck “party booth” has either subscribed here, or already added themselves to Andrew’s waitlist. The RS8 was definitely the DAP star amongst our group at CanJam.

You bet I'm on the wait-list xD

Basically Vishy resistor are the best. They SMD one can go as high as 40 USD a piece. In a R-2R resistor ladder type, you are talking about needing at times 256 of them.

Thank you ! If that's true it must be one of the reasons I loved it and needed to buy one asap!

I'm extremely happy with my N8ii. I know the two company have a very close bonds. The Nutube of N8ii for me has the right hint of warmth that so far it even stopped me from spending 10k on a desktop dac/amp.

RS8 is too heavy from the sound of it, and I already thing RS6 is too large, I'll buy it if the price it below $2,000, anything more, sadly I'm out.

N8ii was great too and I was seriously considering buying it even though I had a dx320 I loved how it gave my jewel a more holographic sound, but the rs8 moved my soul. To me when I listen with the n8ii I'm thinking of the sound(maybe too much) with the rs8 it's just naturally moving me I'm not worried about the holographic sound or if the bass is too little or too much everything just sounds amazing.

That's exactly how I feel when I listen to my RS6. I listen to the songs completely I usually skip, I just can't press the next button.

I'm looking forward to RS8. N8ii with tube on, class A and neutron app provides the perfect balance between musicality and detail.

Don't quote me on this but I've been told that RS8 might be using Vishay foil resistor.
Vishay has great components, especially for sound performances. I love using them, and they are expensive for sure. Though, even the most expensive is 0.5% tolerances. Let’s see what the marketing team can come out with
